we're walking in circles here but i actually think lana's ballads on nfr are wayy more iconic and memorable than whatever she did on bb or some tracks on chemtrails. the melody work was wayy above

also i'm still surprised that i literally have never seen NFR hate within lana stans until i entered lanaboards lol

the piano in bartender is iconic

Jack has a habit of putting weird noises into songs for no fucking reason eg the bells in HTD and the smoke alarm in Lorde's Fallen Fruit so if he could refrain that'd be nice

    Okay I'm done

when he did it in hard feelings/loveless he got so much praise, so now he thinks he can do it in every single song and critics will love those random noises

I’m pretty sure you can still hear the old Thunder instrumental under the new version too. Half of BB was very poorly put together. Really hoping for no unreleased songs on LDR9.

if she does put any unreleased, it has to be og files of songs we've never heard b4

BUT (tho i know what we complain about) shouldn't we have some faith in lana's ever-growing aesthetic? Cause it is literally why we are all here. Personally im (drunk) excited so see what she brings us after such silence.

shell bring us a country album called 'nikki lane love (yeehaw)'

  5. going to get alot of hate for this, but lana never makes songs that her fans would like anymore. like all of her songs are amazing but compare blue banisters to summer bummer. and blue banisters was wayy to personal, like mentioning nikki lane, jenny etc made the songs so unrelatable.... and sweet carolina is a bop but 'fuck you kevin' and a whole song about chucks baby is too personal and unrelatable imo.

she shouldn't have name dropped so much in cotcc and bb

i honestly wish she let the album have its moment and don’t release the deluxe right away l. wish she spent more time perfecting the deluxe tracks they don’t sound nearly is perfect as everything on the album

    it would flop more though

    Question for the culture:

Now that Nikki Lane, Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, Jenny and Charlie and Chuck have had their names appear in Lana's music - can she please go back to singing about old historical figures and icons like Marilyn, Elvis and Jesus without being crucified or saying she's not evolving as an artist??????

nikki lane is more iconic than all the other people you mentioned

    Spoiler

    im joking, i 100% agree:lmaoney:

Ohh gotcha!! I’m hoping for that as well! Lana really is the queen of embodying locations:flutter:

a little unrelated but I wonder how her lyrical landscape will change if she pursues country for LDR9:eartha2:

Will she emphasize the southern portion of the US or continue with California mentions? Cali Cowgirl incoming:shh2:

    please don’t manifest
