I totally understand how you feel cause I felt like that too around 2020-1, but I realised I did not need to dig into everything she released, nor be affected by other people’s opinions when I liked something and others didn’t. Easier said than done I know but just enjoy the music and find people who feel like you about the music if that’s what you need.

I like the fact that some of you picked Music to Watch Boys To as one of the songs to "describe" LDR9. I would have chosen that one too because I like the tropical feel it transpires, that's what Honeymoon and Lust for Life kinda had in my opinion. 2015-6 really had something of a South American, Cuban vibe that I love for and from her.

Wondering if Rob’s post with Lana and a William James painting representing a French café is hinting at the release of French Restaurant… Also, the painter is famous for his depiction of European middle-class sceneries and outdoors, as well as American ones. William fucking James! incoming? Lana’s so hard to figure out idk I’m probably just reaching lol.

lana’s just like you! in all honesty it doesn’t bother me at all it’s just super funny to me I had a good laugh (a kind one) but I hope she doesn’t suffer too much from the constant bullying

Also, even if the production has nothing to do with country, lana has songs like video games and ride that have a country soul, she said it herself and that’s very true, enough with the country hate I’m not a country fan myself but when lana does it, magic happens. I’m sure she could write gorgeous songs

y’all are so bitter… just wanna say I would personally enjoy a full country project from lana bc she’s so good at it, and it probably means she wants to give us some side tunes now because she plans on releasing ldr9 later in 2023, if so she’s an angel the story can very well mean nothing too.

Plus the (stunning) W Mag photoshoot was shot in Sands Point, Long Island (NY), which is the spot that inspired the setting in The Great Gatsby. So I really hope the aesthetic of the photoshoot matches the one of her next album—music wise at least. It’d be such a shame if it didn’t..

I don’t really know what she means by that but it does remind me of shades of cool lyrics "he loves his women too / I’m one of many / one is blue" maybe it’s about this [old] man that has many girlfriends at the same time (cult leader type of sh!t) and lana is doing everything she can to be his favorite, I interpret the poem being more or less about finding self confidence/fulfillment. Also, totally off topic but I just listened to the poem and it definitely sounds like she’s freestyling, it reminds me of what she said in her last interview for W Mag about "practicing meditative automatic singing" "typing in [her] mind".
