SpoilerThe Grants is beautiful too and a fitting album opener. I saw someone earlier say it didn’t fit as the opening track but it literally starts off with “1,2, ready” the lush melody, vocals and instruments >

I just feel like Lana has ALWAYS been able to create vulnerable and personal songs. Hope is a dangerous thing is a prime example of that. And it didn’t require her to take this thought-flowing freestyling vocals and melodies route like she did on Fingertips. She has the ability to blend her poetry and music into one beautiful melodic entity so Fingertips to me’s just unusual in that aspect. Again, it’s a lovely song but i prefer the Hope is a dangerous thing, Wildfire Wildflower, A&W structure. Appreciate it for what it is tho.

That’s my entire point let people enjoy it but not everyone has to praise it just so they feel validated -
SpoilerThe insiders were collectively right placing Fingertips and Sweet on the bottom half of the ranking. The best is yet to come
-
SpoilerThe way certain users here are continuously praising Fingertips is weird to me. It’s a lovely song but it’s not groundbreaking so stop trying to convince people it is.
Listen to it, enjoy and move on.

Let me remind you of your own cries about the album. Or did you forget you wrote this? All love my dear but…The production on NFR was beautiful and elegant and it didn't sound like your typical background music to YouTube shorts or Instagram reels. Meanwhile, at least half of this new album is going to be samples Lana found while browsing random YouTube background musicplaylists. Good luck to Jack trying to make this work!

SpoilerGrandfather vocal and instrumental explosion towards the middle/end of the song is BEAU-TI-FUL
Top 5 of DYK already. I don’t recommend listening to it because it’s tagged but if you do, you’re definitely in for a ride (on a boat)

Actually i respect everyone here and their opinion no matter if its on different ends of the spectrum so no shade @Fingertips we’re all opinionated that’s what this forum is for
BUT one child i will not allow to @ me is ms @Jared because this user here has continuously bashed Lana throughout the pre-release of DYK and everyone here that has been keeping up with the thread knows that. Now that she’s heard a few cute leaks she wants to step back into the light and try to read others. Not on my watch. Go back to being a fake switchy ass ****** and leave me the fuck alone.

Girl you are the one that was bashing Lana left and right before this leak and everyone was dragging you left and right through the mud.
Now you wanna act smart and switch but we all remember your corny ass posts. Sit down somewhere boo. Adios. -

Fingertips truly is a song for those who can understand that music isn't, and shouldn't be, limited by traditional song structures. It requires more from its listeners than casual listening. I've never heard a song like this before in Lana's catalog, and it's incredible that she continues to break down those expected structures and create music that requires a little more attention than simple melodies and infectious tunes.
I like the song and yet i still hold the opinion it could be better. What’s your argument now? You feel you have a superiority complex because it clicks with you more than others here? Every person got a music taste just like we all got assholes. -

Yep. Sirens is better than Fingertips. What else? -
SpoilerOne could argue that Fingertips is written lazy and messy while others might argue it’s sophisticated and beautiful. To me personally, If she wanted to go for a singer songwriter raw type song she should have atleast created a more beautiful melody. Sirens is beautiful and raw and has amazing story stelling but it most importantly is enjoyable to listen to. I can listen to Fingertips but it has no replay value. Just my thoughts.

It didn’t get leaked because physical copies are sent out.
It got leaked because of some mentally deranged person who’s exchanging songs for nude photos, thinks they have the ownership of songs and gets offended when someone shares info about them.
I know sis i was there throughout the whole ordeal. But going by that logic, who knows if he won’t have another episode tonight and leak more shit -
-
SpoilerIdk what you guys see in Sweet but to me it’s just bleh. The melody is all over the place and it sounds like a cringy wedding song, i guess if that’s the vibe she was going for so be it. But i’m tired of these Violet For Roses/Arcadia style songs and vocals. I hope that’s the only track in that vein on the record.

SpoilerSweet, Fingertips and The Grants were leaked in full and HQ
The two interludes, Grandfather and Peppers were leaked with heavy tags and are unlistenable tbh. A short tagged Paris. Texas snippet leaked too.

Yep this goes all the way back to the Sirens era. I remember in one interview she said she always sings about the one same guy and while we know that’s not completely true, i speculate her ultimate real love is this Aaron Greene guy because he has appeared in every album since the beginning of her career until now. He’s truly impacted her in every aspect of life from music to family relationships.
Someone should make a megapost of all the tea we know about their relationship and piece together her discography
