  1. fuck me to death, love me until i love myself = fucked me so good i almost said i love you
  2. ok this has probably been mentioned before but lana is referencing this movie in her cover: and i was wondering why would she do that, what is this movie about? well, here’s a description from google: In this film adaptation of a Tennessee Williams play, Alva is a radiant Southern belle who clashes with her oppressive mother, Hazel. Hazel is trying to force Alva to take an affluent husband, but the young woman has eyes for Owen Legate, a handsome city slicker visiting their tiny Mississippi town. Hazel disapproves of Owen and forces him to stop seeing her daughter. In an act of revenge, Alva takes up with her mother's beau, J.J. then here’s a rotten tomato review: Natalie Wood plays Alva Starr, the glamour queen of a local boarding house with a nymphomaniac mother who literarily pimps her daughter to draw more business. Regardless of the sordidness of her circumstances, Alva beautifies the grim facts of life with her girlish imaginations, expecting the father who deserted the family would return to her bosom someday. so we got mommy issues, daddy issues, dating mom’s boyfriend, glamour queen, and a boarding school…lizzy grant is here bitches. also, i feel like this is the inspiration for american whore. here are some pictures from the film: (these remind me of the alternate vinyl covers)
  3. me liking both the comments that praise dykttatuob and the comments that criticize dykttatuob
  4. alright let’s be for real…if everyone was positive this thread would be boring. we need a difference in opinions
  5. i’m still gonna continue manifesting uv 2.0 since lana is pushing 40 she’s obviously not gonna sing about codependent relationships and recklessness and etc. but that doesn’t mean she can’t have a psychedelic rock or cinematic jazz or trip hop production
  6. all she needs is a change of location and she’ll give us an extravagant era and visuals
  7. well how is that different than people raving about this song and calling it a masterpiece? it’s clear we’re all discussing our opinion, no one is insinuating that their opinion is a fact
  8. i love this song but i do see what people are saying about the delivery, besides the “don’t forget me” part this song’s melody isn’t striking and i keep forgetting what it sounds like. unlike songs such as tulsa jesus freak, cherry, cinnamon girl, most of btd/uv, etc where i just need to listen to the song once to get hooked on its melody and sing it to myself all day. i think what a lot of people are looking for is a song that’s bold sonically, not just lyrically
  9. ok i do agree lana needs to step out of california/the southern states…i cant imagine the album she’d make if she got inspired by new york again
  10. 1. ultraviolence 2. honeymoon 3. chemtrails 4. norman 5. ocean boulevard 6. blue banisters 7. born to die 8. lust for life
  11. umm the outro is completely different from anything on bb/cocc also this is just a single so we can’t be quick to judge, you know? there’s 13 more songs (not including interludes) and we know some of them are gonna be “grand” so it’s okay that this track is on the minimal side
  12. but then why can’t they just censor American Whore too? they put ****** My Way Up To The Top so they can also put American *****
  13. idk this is the same woman with a whole album titled “Norman FUCKING Rockwell” and a song called Fucked My Way Up To The Top, the word whore is not gonna affect her sales at all
