no problem, I'm glad I could share this perspective & thanks for letting me know your own thoughts too ! like I said, there are def 2 sides to everything& I also get the very real/valid concerns on certain age gap relationships but yanno, generalisations are harmful& some of us are big chilling it is def misogynistic to a degree IMO even if it's all said/done under the guise of "wanting the best for the younger woman" - I like to call this well-intentioned misogyny lol. but most of us by this age are fully capable of knowing what is good for us & what isn't & deserve to be taken seriously !

does anybody else feel like Ocean Blvd-Sweet-A&W are intentionally placed like this in the tracklist bc they're meant to be a cohesive storyline about Lana & Seans relationship at this point? I really don't like to give him so much "credit" but you know Ocean Blvd is somewhat about the beginning of the relationship where she’s wanting to open herself up to him & start to be vulnerable, put her trust in him, share her secrets/traumas/ fears/dreams etc. "Open me up, tell me you like me, fuck me to death, love me until I love myself" Sweet, based on what insiders have shared is really lovey dovey & includes lyrics about wanting kids/marriage. we already know Lana wanted these things with Sean from Blue Banisters, so this is like a continuation of that in a way just without the sad undertone- i think we might get to see how Lana felt when the relationship was at its “peak” , when everything felt amazing & she started to dream about the future with him cause she genuinely thought they were endgame then we have A&W which of course signifies the downfall & her heartbreak, whatever happened (seemingly cheating/huge deceptions based on her tiktoks) was enough to make her lose all hope in love, at least for now & she’s in a darker place overall. "It's not about having someone to love me anymore, no, this is the experience of being an American Whore" n then the first interlude comes to sort of wrap it up/ break it up & the rest of the album doesn't follow a direct track - track storyline

Qualley is no doubt a sweet girl & great actress, I loved her work in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood but ima be completely honest i do not care to hear about her & Jack's love life personally so i get what TerrenceLovesMe was saying. besides that I reallllly dislike Jack's voice/singing as well as the lyric snippet we got today but it's still sweet of Lana to do this for them, maybe I'll end up humbly surprised

same! i love it when artists namedrop/sing directly about people from their life, it doesn't get more personal n real than that! thinking of Bob Dylan's "Sara" & Joni's "Ladies of The Canyon" sure, maybe it's less relatable overall but it's so very sweet & I mean we still all have families& friends of our own, just bc they have different names doesn't mean we can't think of them/our relationships w them too as we listen I know when she sings about Chuck making birthday cake, I think of baking with my own little sister sorry for that word vomit but tldr: seated AF for Fingertips! you won with your username its legit gonna b her magnum opus.
