Probably a huge reach here but: on the cover art for "Pussy Cats" (album with the song "Dont Forget Me") you see Harry & John Lennon on the cover, you also see the building blocks "D" and "S" on the floor L(ennon) S D... if you look from right to left or if you look from left to right you have the D block, then a rug, then the S block =D RUG S - drugs at the time, you had to hide those kind of things in a clever way otherwise the label literally wouldn't let it through, plus its just a little easter egg Harry & John probably had fun w so if American Whore is indeed AW/A&W could it possibly be another instance of Lana paying a lil homage?

this Lana x Sean lore rn omg I do think that was the relationship in her life that made her question a lot.. you know about her past relationships too probably, her familial relationships, her relationship with herself. It could be Lennon& it isn't exactly random to bring him up here since he produced the Harry Nilsson album Pussycats.. thats the album Dont Forget Me is on and John is even on the cover art. Plus we know generally that Lana has always viewed John/The Beatles as an inspiration. It adds up for me... more than the leaning or linen theories anyway def need a lyric sheet tho edit: oh just saw someone already told you about John being producer <3
