was just watching this livestream Lana did after BB release where she opens by talking a bit about her relationship/breakup w Sean... at 15 - 30 seconds she talks about how Sean was perceived differently to her, "he was seen as sunshine" aka something traditionally very good & positive & she said she felt she was seen like the opposite of that (or was made to feel like the opposite of that) after listening to this then factoring in Tulsa Jesus Freak lyrics (+all the other songs which are likely aimed towards him/their relationship) I really wonder if he preached at her at some point. Lets face it, Sean is a pretty conservative guy and clearly very religious.. I wouldn't be surprised if he held bits of Lanas past against her & judged her ultimately leading to the breakup..... which does make him the huge hypocrite he is in TJF cause no one is perfect or without sin but like just damn "You knew when you chose me, I was nothing but ordinary" cause in the end he held that against her

He is actually on the album cover too, slightly behind Harry (in da backkkk) + we know Lana likes Johns music anyway, both solo & The Beatles so a little tribute to him wouldn't be out of character but yeah...we need the lyrics sheet

listening to Ocean Blvd on loop yet again & what a masterpiece omg..the desperation & longing throughout to be validated, seen & ultimately loved Lana wants to be noticed like everything else- she knows people notice Ocean Boulevard & this & that, all the surface level stuff, but they don't notice whats beyond the surface like the tunnel. Similar to how people may not care to notice Lanas beauty beyond her physical body.. Shes particular about mentioning the mosaic ceilings & painted tiles bc shes drawing our attention to the fact there is deep beauty hidden within thats gone unseen, just like there is a deep beauty inside of her people in her life haven't cared to realise, explore & love. Tunnels are also dark of course so maybe shes saying there is beauty in the dark parts of a human being too. n the geniusism of making us remember the tunnel & Harry Nilssons song JUST SO MANY LAYERS TO THESE LYRICS & Insiders are saying its not even near the best song on the album....like we are going to eat.
