So just realised they’re combining main stage east/west. So literally all one stage.. which is kinda crappy as I think it’s gonna make it so much more difficult to get to barricade and like.. will Lana be on prior to Fred again? Or after.. I need more details.. I’ve already bought the tickets now and I’m kinda regretting it lol.. the artists on the line up just don’t match

If I’m being honest, it is very likely my very first physical purchase will have been born to die I was always an iPod kid so I never bought actual physical music.. however.. I got my first car to learn in 2012 and I had a 6 slot CD changer (that I adored) and it 100% had born to die in because I was obsessed with the album.. and the other albums I had alongside were Eminem and Kanye west which I stole from my brothers and Eric Clapton and fleetwood mac from my parents CD collection I had that car up until May 2017 and it had all my Lana CDs in the car CD changer and my husband didn’t take them out when the car was taken to be scrapped and I wasn’t there.. I was so upset

lol if we go by albums that were bought for us.. as a young child I remember being obsessed with “do they know it’s Christmas time” .. and got the CD which had the OG version and the 2004 version and would listen to in on repeat

I can’t remember my first album.. but I do remember getting an iPod nano for Christmas in 2008 with an iTunes gift card (so my own actual purchase.. as no other income at 13 lol) I bought.. live your life by rhianna & TI and that’s not my name by the ting tings and that’s the most random choice of songs to buy together lol

I feel like that’s exactly what is going to happen.. and I’ll be sad if it does because it’ll come off as really unauthentic coming from the woman who once said she wanted to just do a digital drop don’t get me wrong, I collect Lana’s vinyl.. and it’s really cool all the different artwork.. but I end up feeling obliged to buy every single one to complete my collection and it cripples me

To be honest, I’m switched on to the idea of country now.. like I haven’t really paid much attention to Beyoncé in years and those 2 songs she’s just dropped I think are great now I do not expect Lana to go even an inch in the same direction as Beyoncé, but this shows me that country doesn’t have to be super cotton eye joe and I enjoy literally anything Lana comes up with so, bring it on

I think somebody might’ve made a good point earlier (even if they weren’t being serious).. maybe she hasn’t promoted it because she wants people to be ready and raring for her country sound this song is a complete different direction which only pushes people to want more of this sound

Oh my days!! The dream! I still listen to the XX frequently, they’re one of the bands where I feel like the sound was so unique I’ve never listened to Jamie XX’s album, I kind of fell out of love with music from 2016-2019.. I completely missed out on Lana’s whole LFL era! I actually ended up listening to that record after NFR!

What?? I don’t even know about a collab lol I only really started listening to her unreleased stuff after blue banisters.. so there’s a whole load of things I’m unaware of! (It also made blue banisters better for me hearing those amazing unreleased songs for the first time)

Sometimes I listen to the XX and I feel like I could imagine Lana singing the songs and with the production too

Weirdly enough I had a burning desire to listen to ummagumma today.. now that kind of makes sense! and definitely, I hear it a lot, I noticeably heard it in the JB interlude and in kintsugi too.. so I’m hoping she continues to explore that too!

Yeah I didn’t mean to link this to her current work- it’s more so because they’ve messed up the “country” genre and long outros are something I’d enjoy.. but in this “jazzy” soundscape and not country.. hence I said in her next album rollout maybe that being said, I will certainly not listen to this on repeat.. not that I do with her singles anyway.. I prefer a full body of work, so if she did release songs on her album with a long ass outro.. it would need to work with the other songs the outro wasn’t giving me jazz either.. its something like 70s psychedelic but I can’t put my finger on it.. its 4am though and I’ve just woke up in the night and listened to it.. so maybe I need to spend some more time with it when I’m fully awake

Ok I just listened and it actually gives me Disney vibes.. but not in the same way suburban house did.. its more like bambis April showers or Aladdin never had a friend like.. I hope that makes sense.. its a little bit fever dreamy lol.. I really like the intro and outro.. I would love some long outros like this one day.. it’s certainly not country.. so maybe on the next roll out

So when do we actually think we’ll get any sort of announcement from Lana on this album?? I still live in fear that the album might just fly in to the ether and never be spoken about by Lana again lol
