Just a reminder that let’s keep streaming the beautiful song our queen has shared with us, “The Grants.” If you can’t physically listen because of work/school/doing other things, I recommend turning off the volume and leaving the song play on repeat for the day (cuz that’s what I’m doing lmaoo).

Just stream it with headphones plugged or something and then don't put them on your ear lol

I was on TikTok the other day and a post came up on my fyp about being excited to hear The Grants and I forgot that there are still Lana stans who don't even know it leaked :oprah2:

I think people not knowing about it is good, I mean, it's mostly us on LB and maybe twitter?

I posted a lyric video of The Grants while she was being interviewed on BBC and basically all the comments were asking me how I did that in 5 minutes :silly: and I was like, well....

lowkey hope so, i mean Lana is a versatile artist but it does feel like in the last three albums (ocean blvd, cocc and bb) she is kinda not leaving a certain comfort zone she created for herself kinda relying on the same elements for most of her tracks minus some songs (i said MINUS SOME SONGS i swear if someone replys with "what about peppers??)

and while the results can be great i feel like if she doesn't switch her main sound up a bit for the next album it could start to get very repetitive

i mean just look at BTD-UV-HONEYMOON three completely different sounds back to back, that diversity is lacking in her recent projects and again, i'm sure Ocean Blvd is gonna be great, but for the next album i think she should go back to exploring again

pls don't fight me if u dont agree:squidward:

I understand the comfort zone you're talking about, sonically speaking. I think she explored new themes with these last 3 albums and now, if she could combine that with bolder production, we'd have the best of both worlds. She's definitely shown us that she's capable of that.

  4. I don't even care atp...

Back in 2019 I had no idea she basically posting all Norman songs everywhere so when it came out it was like 90% fresh to me, then with Chemtrails I didn't even know when the album was coming out so one day I just woke up and saw the entire album on youtube :rip: BB was the only album I bought beforehand, also had no idea that it had leaked and I also didn't know the unreleased songs :thumb3:

But LanaBoards has made me a different person. A person who listens to LQ snippets and claims songs I know nothing about. A person who ventures into the dark side of the internet and risks her own ears trying to catch a glimpse of the new album slay.

This is my first time listening to l*aks, my body is ready. I'll take anything LQ and untagged, thank yew

One of the things im loving about this album (so far) is that she's really managing to combine all of her different styles over the years into something very original and cohesive. like with peppers, for example, she

      Reveal hidden contents

is merging fast tempo trap beats with the psychedelic synth flutters and rhythmic, raw bass.

Lana has always had the trap side, the piano ballad side and the psychedelic rock side, and I think Fuck it I Love You was the first time she found a unique way of combing those different sides into one concentrated song. So far every track on Ocean Blvd feels like it's all part of one cohesive body of work, even though they're not all the same genre.

Like I love Honeymoon, but the title track doesn't sound to me like it's from the same album as High by The Beach, and HBTB doesn't sound like it's from the same album as Religion (at least in my opinion.)

Tbh this new album is now giving me a more mature/sophisticated version of AKA Lizzy Grant :lange: kinda of crazy but if you think abt it...
