  1. The meds comment has actually reminded me I need to take mine so thank you @That Venice Bitch
  2. “do you really think I give a damn about what they say…?” and “if I told you that I was raped do you really think…?” edited cause i misquoted the second one
  3. Please no feet. I already wince at the lyrics that say “bare feet” “barefoot” and so on. Lana I would die for you but I have the worlds biggest foot phobia
  4. Hard agree, also her voice sounds so full and rich in the chorus. It’s so vulnerable and soft yet strong
  5. tbh I don’t want to hear any criticism of TG from the tiktok stans who will hate anything that’s not sped up versions of summertime sadness or yes to heaven
  6. The Grants is just so pleasant and soothing to me. It feels like she’s singing us a lullaby
  7. As a Christian (not evangelical or anything - Episcopal, and very progressive), I 100% agree on your point that art should be challenging. It’s the same as the lyric that we were discussing last week. It’s nice when music, and art more broadly, is comforting and pleasant and we don’t need to think too much about it. It’s exhausting to constantly be challenging yourself and critically thinking about every form of media you consume. But at the same time, it’s almost downright dangerous to only listen to/watch/read things that you 100% agree with. Plus, it’s so boring! I love reading lyrics, poems, and novels with complex and often disagreeable themes. And that’s what I love about Lana: she doesn’t shy away from those challenging topics and ideas. She’s very philosophical, and I know that doesn’t appeal to everyone. But she also has plenty of more lighthearted (and amazing!) songs if you just cba with all that, and that’s definitely the case on DYK (for example, side D). There’s something for everyone, and always something interesting to discuss
  8. Honestly I feel like an artistic soul like Lana couldn’t ever really stop making music. When art in whatever form is your whole being it’s almost impossible not to casually write songs & create melodies in your head, especially because she’s been doing it for practically her whole life Whether she’d ever actually RELEASE any of it is a different story. But honestly I feel like she would, just less frequently. Wishful thinking perhaps lol
  9. She should’ve recorded QFTC as an interlude (I mean obviously not but that would’ve been some insane publicity)
  10. For me Tunnels is currently between UV and NFR in my ranking… we’ll see once I’ve listened in full 1. AKA 2. UV 3. NFR 4. Paradise 5. Honeymoon 6. Born to Die 7. COTCC 8. Sirens 9. Lfl 10. Blue Bannisters Edit: I’d actually probably say COTCC and BTD are tied
  11. It was a picture of the twin towers after they were hit saying “what Lana song would you play if you were here”
