I dont know, hard to say, people talk about the commercial aspect of the song, but even with a more commerical song it may not be a commercial hit, due to the lyrical content. (Which is weird, when you think about alot of the crap they actually do play on the radio, etc.) hard to say.. Im kind of selfish with my favorite songs from artists and dont really care what level of commercial success is attained. Of course, the artists need the success to make a bigger impact, but Lana is fine, shes got it made.. not like a struggling underground indie artist who is hungry (and all whom love her are hungry) for the 'success',. This song is great to me.

that had such a huge impact in a different way that the previous tours also had.. i love the way she opens shows.. thats my favorite part of the live performances in some ways, seeing that huge impactful opener and Lana just sheepishly walking out on stage. thats huge to me.

It will be sooo cool to hear the full album in sept.. there will be songs like HBTB as well as HM i feel on this album.. we'll get more of both styles.. best of both worlds so to speak..

I like this alot! So much better for me than HM.. i just realized tho, that the chorus reminds me of something else.. one of which is the chorus matches alot with Dark Paradise.. Great sounding voice and song. Love it already. Hope more good ones on HM to come out in sept..

Yes agree with alot of this. I won't be dissapointed if i like the album tho.. ..regardless if it is more commercial or not.. maybe others will, but for me, i'm happy if she makes good songs too listen to.. maybe high by the beach is about her new beach house balcony..thats where the pics look like they were taken..actuallly, its a little low on the beach in malibu.. she and frans both look happy in Italy right now for the moment anyway.. off topic a little..

Excited to hear it. First previous song that came to mind when i saw that title for some reason, was Hollywood. Could picture that style of sound, maybe with some different beats.. a more modern version of it..

now getting depressed reading all this, maybe all so, but lets all wait to hear the album when it comes out soon.. i dont think anyone should write her off yet.. i realize more than ever now, there are alot of artists out right now.. but she could still do a great one.. now im starting to wonder tho, if the album is complete.. does anyone have pics anywhere of her in and out of a studio anywhere? where are the paps and stuff? i guess no europe or world tours anymore this year..maybe she doesn't want to do much more of that.. oh well, whatever happens going frwd, she still made what she made..(songs)..
