For me the Cry Baby videos have a lot of replay value. Mad Hatter, Tag You’re It/Milk and Cookies, Cry Baby, Mrs Potato Head are some of the best music videos I’ve ever seen. I’ve literally never gone back to any videos from K-12 . I’m not nearly as well versed at all as some of you guys, I’m pretty new to Melanie, but I’m so curious what she can do outside of the Crybaby constraint. She’s a very gifted songwriter and while I love the double meanings, I’d like to see what else she can do. I’m a little optimistic with Crybaby allegedly being dead, but I don’t think she really is.

I loved Cry Baby and I love Mel’s artistry but I couldn’t get through that K-12 movie. just too disjointed

Impossible hard to choose, two career defining tracks. I think A&W does more lyrically, and VB does more sonically, even though it is more subtle. I think seeing how A&W plays its part in the context of the album will be fascinating.

I finally listened to Siren…what a journey. Really hope that one will be on MM3. It giving way more than anything on K-12.

I have a pretty good setup for listening to records. (Speakers are Triangle Borea BR02s). Quality is not going to be perfect streaming it from Spotify to a Bluetooth receiver on my amp, but WOW. Anyone saying the mixing is bad at the beginning, listen to it on some quality speakers. There is so much more going on in terms of nuance and instrumentation here and there throughout the entire track, it’s truly an experience. The ending sounds absolutely huge, her vocals over the beat are clear and literally sounds like she is in the room. This is going to be amazing on vinyl (assuming the pressing isn’t shite like most some of her vinyl pressings).

I listened to it about 15 times driving home, and I just love it more and more. The “look at my hair” line is giving me HBTB vibes with “look at me looking at you”
