We know why Anora won the Cannes film festival... https://x.com/PopCrave/1794456965210317120 In all seriousness the fact this film won Cannes highest award and theres video of all the old people at the screening being forced to listen to Daddy AF... is so funny to me. I really hope this film getting a lot of recognition and press somehow makes the song go viral. https://x.com/karl_delo/status/1792901579542085944

I hate to be even more insufferable than usual but if you are seeking out and listening to the leaks, please also make an effort to support her throughout this upcoming era. It was wrong to do before but especially now with her being (allegedly) independent a leak can really affect someone's livelihood. I'm not in the music industry but I am a self-employed artist and I really hope people realize at this level you're fucking with somebody's living expenses if you're just downloading her music and not buying the album digital / vinyl / cd / merch / tour / whatever. This isn't the same situation as if a Lana, Charli, Ariana, etc. track leaked.

I've never seen this before. It has to be some kind of error in the vinyl mixing, the cloudy clear vinyl likely has a small amount of white vinyl mixed into the clear when they make it but this looks like it wasn't mixed together and was almost like white splatter was placed during the pressing. Does it play correctly??? You may have a pretty rare 'accidental' variant.

I didn't include it because it was part of Starfucker sessions and I really dont see it going onto the tracklist of the next album. We can really only hope it goes like: Devault single -> Starfucker outtakes like LTM and Tommy -> Mixtape Deluxe -> First S4 single.

Theres currently 4? known songs recorded during S4 sessions / intended for S4: No Comma / Holy Water (ft. Ayesha Erotica?) Menace Jesus in Miami Explicit Dangerous also possibly getting reworked according to a previous livestream. (Wouldn't mind Sunshine coming from the grave too tbh it would fit this album perfectly) Between the track titles and the recent Trisha interview its been interesting seeing how she's connected religious imagery with miami sleeze aesthetic. Devault is saying the EP is coming "sooner than you think" which will have his Slayyyter feature song. edit: The song featuring Slayyyter will be the next single after the one that is dropping soon. I see her perform in a few weeks so we'll see if shes starting to tease anything new at these summer / pride shows.

The new song is good if you think its not you literally just on some haterade blind shit, I'm sorry. Its true, its true. I actually think this is a really great example of "hyperpop" sound mixing in with mainstream radio sound especially adding lil nas x for trap elements and it being done exceptionally well. Its leagues beyond I LOVE IT and other attempts to do this sound in a more mainstream way. Dont get it twisted though Camilla you have one more flop song and I'm jumping back on the hate train.
-
i honestly think it was a mistake doing the boiler room with all of the album songs because thats exactly my thoughts too. Even something like club classics feels really mild now in comparison. its like dawn of chromatica releasing before chromatica.

This. This video is the moment. Like if you get, it you get it. Its exactly on the point of culture right now in every way it needs to be. I watched it and was just like, holy shit lol she fucking did that?! Dunno what I will think about this video years from now though. Like who even in this video will hold up beyond a passing fad? Likely none of them. But Blizzy and Alex being in this is iconic.

I gave I Love It the benefit of the doubt on release and listened to it and hated it. I will still give these other upcoming songs at least one listen chance as I do prefer Camilla actually trying to do something different with her image and music besides being "pop girl on the radio #59353". A Lil Nas X feature seems promising to be honest.

Wish we knew the full story behind the Heidi remix. The full version has completely new "starfucker" sounding production and rerecorded slayyyter vocals in some sections. Heidi posts a clip of it around the same time it leaks. Did she give it to Heidi to use and someone around her leaked it? Its definitely not ever coming out, right? I have so many questions lol.

Her SNL appearance had more personality and flavor than the entire album. I'm not hearing "I bumped into my parents at 3 am outside the club and we were all stoned and drunk" from these tracks. Honestly I'm really just getting a lazy, spoiled rich girl who doesnt give a shit vibe from her at this point. Its like shes making albums because its her job that pays well but not her passion. The label can only do so much with an artist that clearly does not care or want to put in the effort to innovate. Like what even is the theme of this album? "clean girl" "White backdrop" and "uhh... summer?" seem to be the only vibes it gives with the 'summer' part being forced at the last minute. Its weird because she very clearly had the drive to improve as the "go girl give us nothing" moment really showed. Where is that energy now? Did she just think she was done???

oh cathy read this and dm'ed heidi quick.

The best selling album of this year babe lets keep up! Lmao (The Tortured Poets Department)

Exact same pitchfork score as TTPD. And I really am seeing the parallels between these two albums. Theyre both kind of releasing completely unnecessarily. They dont provide anything new to the artists body of work. Dont push any boundaries. Most tracks are very samey and lack identity save for a few. Its not a bad album but its not moving any measure. Theres good songs on here but this isnt a great album. There were people saying Dua Lipa was the next Lady Gaga after Future Nostalgia released and her next album was going to be huge. This is definitely not that…

Yeah I really do wonder how she will move in the future. She asked for the stems to Trisha's I Love You Jesus for a remix which, is so hilarious but exactly fits with the kind of artist she wants to be just doing stuff that is fun or cool for the hell of it and putting it out not worrying about the label pressure and timeline. She could so easily be a 'viral hit' type of artist with the type of collab ideas she has. But she's also very artistically sound and knows how to put a complete album together. So I really hope whatever happens shes able to explore both sides of her music. (aka, her if-new-label is more willing to work with her on stuff like that)
-
I literally was gonna post this after the interview was over omg. Everything makes sense now that Starfucker was the last album of the contract. This is absolutely why she can't release No Comma yet. She can't release anything or it will be under that label. She's either going independent and wants to own everything or has another label lined up after and they wont let her release.
-
Do you think they wont be performing their collab songs on the tour? Why would performing them in what would be an ad for the tour be a problem... Even if we entertain the idea they need to perform new songs, it would be pretty easy to medley one of Charli's new singles into Rush then into 1999 or vise versa to fit a TV spot. This era is so hilarious that the whole aesthetic is "completely low budget and nobody gives a shit" except they're spending a ridiculous amount of money. When they could just, not.
-
Having both artists there at the same time but no duo performance was absolutely insane. Baffling, really.
-
At this point you really can't believe anything she says one way or the other. From various mental issues she has including drug addiction you can't take her extreme highs and extreme lows too seriously. From the perspective of someone who is a professional artist (not music) its incredibly frustrating to watch her be one of the most beloved, viral internet sensations in the last few years and just totally squander that. Like genuinely, what are her options for 'retirement'? She's already near homeless and what kinds of jobs can she reliably keep in the state that she is in? When currently shes sitting on a goldmine of music she could release with just even the smallest semblance of a release plan. She could easily set up a print-on-demand merch shop and be making thousands every week in merch sales. Reach out to a vinyl pressing company and make a fucking killing on all of her previous albums. Its all literally just laying in the palm of her hands.

AHHH!!!!!! Slayyyter on Trisha Paytas's podcast airing in less than an hour!!???
-
You're always so optimistic about Ayesha releasing music its so cute
-
She really has the worst fans. I've never seen a more destructive and disrespectful fan group.
-
360 sounds like it could go on nearly any of her albums/projects and fit perfectly with ease like- its so quintessential charli xcx sounding.
