For the people who are saying they dont really understand the Lana comparisons... Let me just say this... I don't normally listen to Taylor so I really don't know her voice as well as others. I also dont know all of Lana's songs, mostly just the bigger ones. When I listened to the leak, I thought I had downloaded a troll upload of some Lana songs renamed to the Taylor album tracks... I thought Lana was singing on at least Fortnight. To me, some lines sounded like Taylor and others sounded like Lana singing. It wasn't until I actually heard the word "fortnight" in the song I realized it was a legit leak and not a Lana song. Two people who are Lana fans that I know also without me mentioning, said it felt like she was "trying to do Lana". This could be Antonoff's fault partially, working with both artists, but the comparisons aren't coming out of nowhere...

For some reason her label isnt letting her release anything right now. So even if Ayesha did record and send it over, it could be sitting finished and just waiting for release. Meanwhile... Ayesha is doing TONS of features and is going to be in a MV with Aliyah Interlude for the Fashion Icon remix. Her label really needs to stop holding her back! Speaking of her label, Donatachi just recently signed to them and released a single. So I wonder if he will end up working with her on this new album again.

tfw i bought tickets to pittsburgh pride to see slayyyter and chappell was also performing there and i had no idea who she was now shes absolutely blowing up so i get to see her as a bonus I find some of her music kind of cheesy in a way I can't really listen to all the time, but in an endearing Cyndi Lauper way I can enjoy from time to time. The other half of her album though is genuinely really cool and I'm excited to see her live now.

I didn't know this!! But judging from Brooke's recent vibe of her new era this makes perfect sense. I needa get back into her music I've missed a lot of her discography over the years.

With Sia collabing with Paris and Brooke Candy making music with Heidi Montag that is actually getting released it makes me so mad Cathy dropped the ball on their collab when she really could have had an iconic moment with it.

Whats so fascinating to me about Grimes... Is based on her previous releases, in my mind she was such a forward thinking intellectual, a really talented artist who was unlike any other and was passionate about making sure she had her hands in every single part of her art from the production, lyrics, video, the artwork for her covers... Fast forward to now and her releases are literally the epitome, the amalgamation of the most generic, lifeless, uninspired production, lazily using AI just for the gimmick of it, cant even be bothered to sing your own vocals because you think its "cool" an AI is doing it, generic trite lifeless slop artwork stolen from other artists through an AI in the most boring and pandering ways: "robot anime elf girl on crazy galaxy background" prompt type shit. Like its all just awful. And what makes it all truly for the worse is she seems to be completely oblivious of it all? She really seems to act like this is all cutting edge when it couldn't be any more on the nose and obvious. This is the type of stuff that I would tell an AI to make if somebody said to me: "Try to make the most hilariously stereotypical AI bro thing imaginable". And listen to her talk about it. There is no faux art-forward "irony" to it. She is obsessed with this slop. Just devouring it like a pig in a trough.

I know that record contracts usually work by amount of albums but i dunno i feel like if a song/album leaks just dump it on streaming and move on. You might as well make money off of it. Otherwise people are just stealing your work and take the power of that work away from you and you will always fight a losing battle against fans who want you to perform it (Taxi). Its so annoying though that not only because of the contracts but labels dont want artists to be seen as "flopping" by dropping albums that aren't promoted. I dunno its all stupid.

her music is the first time i've seriously noticed jumps in quality of the files from track to track. i find myself having to turn my music way way up just to hear it then the next track is perfectly fine. i hate how bootleg her catalog is lmao.
