  1. currently praying that some twink at the slayyyter dj set isnt strung out on too much k and poppers and actually records the new material.

  2. It hasn't been talked about here yet but it seems like the Slayyyter website is under 'maintenance' as the merch company she worked with has shut down???

And there are still many people (INCLUDING MYSELF!!) who placed orders for vinyls in the initial preorder who still never received their order, and likely will never get their orders now!

I ordered both vinyls the cd and a shirt and it never came and never will I guess. :crai:

I'm half and half on whether we got it or not. It's just a single song, and I personally think it's in the ballpark. Maybe just not a home run.

    Absolutely agree.

It's stupid and fun, and honestly? If she releases an entire album that's basically "Yeah, I did it, and I've got a 4 octave range, and all you've got are bills, so what's fuckin' good?" I'd die.

I would have preferred this. We didn't get this. Thats my complaint lol.

  5. I found her from 21st Century Kids but Alchemise is really really cool and atmospheric yet also catchy at the same time, I love that.

  6. As someone who works professionally in social media it can be really hard when your account is getting constantly the same annoying comment over and over and its like they all just want you to cave and do what they want. Online now people think a person / company will fold and give in to the "social media hype" if you pressure them enough so it leads to annoying shit like this happening.

And I can definitely say you have to just ignore it to a point because it can really make you go angry so quickly. Because you've been building up this annoyance to those comments and then in a live setting it can really burst out in a really spiteful way. It was kind of shocking seeing how quickly she got so angry on live but I think shes been holding that in for way, way, way too long and it all just came out.

Its unfortunate but you dont want to give the impression to fans that you're really angry and always annoyed by your followers which is how that can come across as a viewer who doesnt see the other side of the perspective. I'd be pissed too if I was trying to go on Live to talk about my new music and play snippets and the entire chat is just flooded with Kim Petrat and Charli comparisons and "collab!" and questions about Ayesha.

  7. Did they not both cheat on their partners? Like they were both married and both divorced for each other because they were both cheating. Its not misogyny. Ariana is the one putting out a song about it and we are all talking it and her actions its supposedly addressing. Its practically demonic to befriend a married couple and hold their newborn then fuck the girl's man like COME ON. That is soap opera supervillain type shit.

I was front row during Sweetener / Thank U Next tour. And here I am wondering how anyone can defend Ariana's actions at this point. And she could have just said something and addressed it but she knows it would just make her look bad to say the truth. So she's just trying to pull a "you guys have no idea whats going on, I'm actually a victim! Really! I promise!" and I don't think this song managed to land her in that lane successfully.

This song either needed to be a cunty diss track that said "i dont care about this we're moving on", or it needed to not address anything at all and just be a catchy song. This did neither it just shows it bothers her what people are saying and lets everyone know she is aware of whats being said.... yet chose to be weak about it.

Personally I like the song's sound but this isn't looking good in starting out her new album rollout. I dont think this is giving her the publicity that she wanted / expected.

  8. I dont think this song is doing her any favors with her public perception and the lyrics at times are kind of a mess but the production is fantastic its so weirdly blending house and new-age Charli XCX / Poppy / Grimes elements with a hint of Yasutaka Nakata / Perfume jpop sprinkled in its so bizarre.

But of course it has Ariana's gorgeous vocals and this is absolutely that song I want to white girl at the club.gif to.

Honestly, I think that in the future, we deserve to win the initial era that Troubled Paradise promised. Sunshine, Talk To Me/Cream... An almost NuMetal era mixed with electronic. In 2026 we want Slayyyter with Creed-LinkinParky vibes.

do we? like sunshine is really cool but Linkin Park and Creed?!

  10. As much as I'm guilty of getting into the leaks I really would be jaw-dropped by a completely leak free era where we are just on the edge of our seat waiting for what is next.

And she deserves that as well!!!!!!

As for the beach sounding vibes of this album, it makes sense considering all of the miami esque imagery and also her mentioning her admiration for that sound in the interview with Maddy Morphosis.

idk why y'all worry about robokid credits like isn't the gp eating up dr. luke's new songs and putting it high and higher on the charts? :brigitte:

this exact thought went through my mind like would anyone even bother about robokid which nearly nobody knows even exists if even dr luke can get away with way worse...

but slayyyter's demographic isn't the general public. most people who know of her are chronically online gays with stan accounts who want to cancel and drag for any reason. i dont think it would like, completely cancel her and tank the release or something but it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if it did end up getting brought up by some loser on twitter.

not yall talking about a new era ?/????

starfucker was literally released 4 months ago, like u guys are insane if you think we are really getting anything new in the next year

i know a lot of it leaked and was messy but thats not her fault and thats not gonna make her new music come any sooner

no way she is having a new era in 2024 unless it is coming in literally like December of 2024...

I dont expect another Starfucker level of a drop to happen right away.

She's already posted several hints about releasing something in 2024 though.

Plus the photos she dropped teasing the new "era" match the various tweets/insta stories shes posted being neon pink / miami beach vibes, etc. this is exactly what she did with Starfucker constantly talking about 80s interior design, old hollywood, etc. on twitter and insta stories which was actually hints about the albums art direction..

Thats why many people are assuming it is more like a smaller release like a rework or deluxe of Mixtape because she has already been confirmed to be in the studio multiple times since Starfucker Deluxe released so new music IS being made right now.

While leaks dont have everything to do with it, we can look back at the release of TP and SF. TP leaked like 6 months before its release date. The album was finished way way before it was actually released. Many songs from Starfucker were started long before the album was announced or any single had come out. In theory, there is nothing stopping her from just dropping the songs quickly to avoid a leak instead of waiting so long to release them.

do you guys think that since her music wont get leaked the album can be coming way sooner?

I would love to think so but who says her new music still wont get leaked?

I know she said she was going to be doing things differently going forward but............

    who the fuck is robokid?

    He has production credits on:

    Mixtape:

    • Mine
    • Cha Ching
    • Devil (with Ayesha)
    • Ur Man
    • Daddy AF
    • Motorcycle
    • Ghosttt

    Troubled Paradise:

    • Venom
    • Dog House
    • Butterflies
    • Troubled Paradise

And he also had Slayyyter featured on his song 2003.

Looking this up made me realize all of my favorite songs from these albums are produced by him :crai:

Also random fun fact: Throatzilla is produced by Tony Hawk's nonbinary kid.

In my opinion, I don't care about Ayesha. No shade but Ayesha is limited. I'm not going to get into a big argument about it, she's good at what she does but she only fits into one type of music. Which isn't a bad thing, but I don't think that, at the moment, it matches what Slayyyter in 2024 might want.

You're not wrong about Ayesha at all, we will see how her upcoming album turns out... as it seems like she has absolutely no clue how to keep her career secure for even a week.

But its undeniable that if the two of them collabed again there is big chance it would gain traction, potentially go viral on tiktok, etc. I know she does not necessarily chase that as a goal and finds it to be distasteful but Ayesha just trends effortlessly without trying and I could see it being really beneficial in promoting S4.

imagine a mixtape two but if she didn’t release starfucker and troubled paradise.. i imagine it would look like this

If Mixtape 2 was the immediate release after Mixtape 1, I don't think really any tracks from Starfucker besides plastic would be on it. Doghouse, Serial Killer, and Plastic are really the only tracks we can confirm were made during S1 recordings in some capacity (that im aware). And I think unreleased tracks like Rainbow Road, Dangerous, Heaven, Difficult, Swimming Pool etc. would be on it.

If Mixtape 2 happened right after the first I don't think she would have learned the lessons of Troubled Paradise to prepare such a well constructed vision as Starfucker to end up with those songs. But I could definitely see Self Destruct, Throatzilla, Venom, and possibly Villain on this hypothetical tracklist.

Do you also feel that Troubled Paradise seems like a collection of singles? When she was talking during the pandemic in April 2020, when she was doing Instagram lives cooking salmon and sometimes having a few drinks, what she described about Troubled Paradise was totally different from what I personally envisioned it to be.

I had just got into Slayyyter a little bit before Self Destruct released as the first single and I thought at first it was so shockingly different than the mixtape I was currently obsessed with (later end up loving that song btw). And I wasn't a super fan always watching her lives or getting into the discords/didn't know this forum existed. So I didn't see ANY discussion of her anywhere at the time, it was just me checking on her official socials every now and then. So I had no idea Troubled Paradise was talked about like that. But I do think its release was interesting. It seemed like she was torn fighting the hyperpop allegations, while also trying to stay afloat in the covid electronic music scene online (which was hyperpop...), trying to put out so many music videos and singles to keep people's attention, all while ignoring how everything leaked?? Throatzilla and Troubled Paradise I was obsessed with. But then I remember feeling like it was so weird that Over This and Cowboys were released as singles and how different they were from the previous singles and each other. (Did Cowboys REALLY need a music video...?) I thought the cover was really weird too and preferred the Troubled Paradise single cover so much more. So I guess to make a long story short I wasn't super into the development of the album like I was Starfucker but it definitely came across as a weird release at the time. It didn't stop me from streaming the fuuuuuck out of the album though. I still loved it. I dont think I could imagine a full-on medieval Feed The Beast style visuals for it. Maybe with the type and graphic design elements looking Victorian but not with Slayyyter herself and the outfits. I think the Self Destruct Devil vs Clouds Angel contrast, magical aesthetic works for what I perceived as the theme at the time. I will say though that color-coding the singles artworks in singular rainbow colors and then having a rainbow in the full album cover was cool.

  16. PopCrave already posting about her "new era for 2024" makes me think this is going to be planned as a pretty big release for her.

As for robokid, he completely vanished off the internet after the accusations which doesn't exactly read as "innocent". He either changed his alias and still works in the industry behind the scenes or hes just gone-gone. Either way she clearly has a current production team that works for her as Starfucker and James Dean production is amazing.

But quite frankly if she doesn't care about Ayesha's controversies to work with her again then at that point do people really care about robokid credit considering he is literally non-existent now. I do wonder if she will have to navigate addressing working with Ayesha again IF she does.

I dont know exactly how music crediting works but, say they remaster the mixtape, can she just pull a "well legally we had to credit robokid but he didnt work on the remaster"

  17. Yeah, I could see that happening.

I mean, before Starfucker dropped, sometimes she would call it "S3" even though she'd reference it as "my second album" and still clarified "the mixtape" as such.

While I can agree that Troubled Paradise is "all over the place" I think its easily justified with its Hell vs Heaven theme.

It seems annoying for both her and fans side fighting the specifics of the album numbering and what is considered what.

Like she may call it a mixtape but its an extremely cohesive 14-track body of work that had music videos, CD, vinyl, and merch release. Thats an album to me even if she didn't necessarily have full creative control over the whole tracklist.

  18. Please Cathy give us Ghhhosttt on Mixtape 2!!! The intro and beat on the chorus is sick it just needs built upon with more bridge and production changes a.... third time. :w8ing:

In all seriousness, after the wait between Troubled Paradise and Starfucker I cant believe shes already dropping clues for the next 'era' whatever that may be.

I doubted her at the beginning of Starfucker era that she could not pull it off and she absolutely proved everyone wrong so I trust her.

Idk I'd feel bad though if I just dropped a fantastic album and then everyone in my twitter replies was like "omg you're going back to the mixtape!"

I'm just hoping that whatever it is, rather it be reproduction of previous tracks, a deluxe version, or a "sequel" album, that its with that same artistic development as Starfucker and not because she feels like she needs to cave in to the demands of going back to the mixtape look / sound.

  19. I was hyped for this album but the rollout really killed it for me.

24 tracks is so unnecessary. The whole rollout felt rushed, unplanned, unorganized, lazy, you name it.

There seems to be no artistic vision behind the album and the tracklist is just a mess. No cohesion its just all over the place.

The album is supposed to be a sequel to an iconic album that has a very specific aesthetic and sonic atmosphere but this absolutely is not a sequel to that.

At that point, it just feels like its called Pink Friday 2 out of sales desperation which makes me just dislike the album even more.

Nicki is literally legend status. An icon. This whole thing is just unacceptable and stuff that even rookies are not doing with their rollouts. People who are independent making songs in their bedroom on their laptop aren't doing this.

The album needed the tracks count cut in half and way more time to develop its own individual lane from Nicki's other work.

There are some really good songs on this album but as far as an album as a whole goes this is just tragic.

  20. She posted a pic at a recording studio…

with all the recent hints of returning to the mixtape she also tweeted again about it with images from the original cd booklet / lyrics.

it’s crazy to think she’s already back to recording SOMETHING…

  21. every. single. photoshoot. she has done this era, is like on the tier of a full album cover photoshoot. like every single one shes done could have been as the starfucker booklet photos or, whatever. its crazy just how many photoshoots shes secured for this era and how every single one of them is top notch.
