i don’t care how many times it’s been said, i have a feeling ill love this record more than any record i’ve ever heard. i don’t think i’ve connected to lyrics like this since NFR. this woman and i live parallel lives, i swear.

That’s something so interesting to me about Lana, so many of us relate to her so deeply and our lives kind of line up with the music she puts out. It’s really fascinating

okay you know what i bit my tongue long enough but both of you contribute NOTHING to this forum but pure negativity and bitchiness and i am TIRED of it. i would ignore your posts but i think it actually needs to be addressed.. there’s a difference between other members (i’m not going to name drop but i’m sure some of you know who i’m talking about) who can be bitchy and rude etc but they balance it out and their points are valid with an argument etc

but this is just fucking ridiculous now

either log off and go and deal with the people who are making you that miserable that you think your safe haven is an INTERNET FORUM for LANA DEL fucking REY for you to just spout constant negativity, or just leave the forum and find other people to harass.

@barttttender you’ve made it clear you don’t like lana other than nfr which is fine, but fuck off. stop tearing her work down and literally everyone else’s. it is not cute to be bitchy.

@blackpalmtrees you have started fights with so many people here and it is exhausting

you are also rude and dismissive of other peoples opinions

both of you need a fucking reality check, it is never that deep and how pathetic do your lives have to be to keep tearing down other people anonymously? like jesus fucking christ

some of these new users are completely unbearable and it is no wonder that so many people i’ve enjoyed the presence of have just left

i don’t want anyone else to be driven away to leave because of insufferable constant bullshit

I second this I’m so sick of people contributing nothing but negativity but it might be the only attention they get lol

I think the my only critique of two of the songs is that

The Grants and Grandfather could have benefitted from an additional verse. I know she was running out of available time/space for one CD, but damn do they end abruptly :hillary:

    Spoiler

Im obsessed with talking about guitar solos right now LOL but I think the grants would’ve been taken to a whole different level if instead of the harmonizing at the end there was a gorgeous electric guitar that played off the melody of the chorus and then built up and then one last “I’m gonna take mine of you with me” sang with minimal instruments and a piano fading out. That’s how I picture it in my crazy head at least

the truth is Lana got posessed around 2012, and when she sang "god's dead i said baby that's alright with me" it was actually the devil speaking through her and the judah interlude is actually him performing an exorcism on her to save her soul, that is why we can hear lana

    giggling and mocking him

cause it's the devil speaking right before he lost his power and left her body

IM SO SCARED RIGHT NOW you’re such a little menace. Pearl grimacing at me isn’t making this any better. I’m definitely having nightmares tonight :kum:

  5. Spoiler

I love the discourse fingertips is causing. I can’t wait until everyone hears it. It’s the most important song in her discography imo. It’s very uncomfortable to listen to. The lack of structure makes it feel like listening to a friend venting to you. Or like you’re pressing your ear against a door listening to a woman talking to her therapist. It’s very haunting, and devastating. I feel like it’s one of those songs you have to hear a few times but the first listen hits you immediately, super interesting feeling. Never heard something like it
