yes, unfortunately Lana is blocked again

    I love yours too!

Thank you. I might try it with Lizzy Del Rey then. "Miss Del Rey" usually gets me the dog picture only, lol. "Del Rey" often looks like who knows who but Lana.

Update: Gets me the dog very often, too, or doesn't look to much like her 😂

Funnily I'm getting better results for "Del Rey" now than before.

    Spoiler

Update 2: Problem solved. It's the Klimt prompt. Most likely the AI always shows Lana half nude on the hidden dog pics, because Klimt pictures often have erotica elements... Stupid. I asked the AI for dresses in my prompts but it doesn't get me obviously 🙄

I agree; sharp, almost too clear

Honestly, I think most creators strive for artistic vision today over pleasant listening experience, and that includes filmmakers too, which is why so much of today's art fails and fails to reach a sizable audience of any kind. Look back to the great Golden Age of Hollywood when films were routinely geared towards a general public, and yet masterpiece after masterpiece was produced, and the writers, actors, and directors were still allowed to put some of their signature creativity into their work.

This is so true. One just needs to think about Hitchcock's masterpieces.

(I think this "artistic vision" approach has reached its worst though in photography. In music and movies it's still kinda tolerable at least in most cases.)

To everyone coming back to this thread: people are talking about another song from the soundtrack above, not about "blue skies" . I got pretty confused at first, lol.

I personally am really excited about this! I’ve been manifesting country for years now, and it looks like she has, too!! :true:

That said, I’m really annoyed that the release date is 7 months away, that makes me feel like it’s not as set in stone as ocean was when she announced it

True, but might be the time though you need to reserve a vinyl press time slot nowadays, lol.

I hope she changes the name:smile2:

She's probably calling it "Lasso" just like she calls DYKTTATUOB "tunnel". The full name might be another 10 words or so, lol.

    The full title might be:

Did you know there was a cowgirl born to die but with lust for life living on the countryside with blue banisters around her ranch playing music to catch boys with a lasso during their honeymoon and they called her UltraViolet for it while Chemtrails clouded the sky over them?

    or whatever, lol

Besides it could be just a working title so they took the most country cliché word they could find, lol.

  5. I just know that so far I've loved every album by her, and that's not the case with any other artist for me. So I'm looking forward* to whatever she'll release, because I am pretty sure I'll love it, too. 😊

*... and this time I'm especially excited for this cause I love country and related genres. I suppose though, as some others wrote, it might indeed be more some kind of Americana, American standards, folk thing, which sounds just as fantastic. I feel like a child before Christmas. 😍

    Ridiculous

I reported both my LDR Village charges to Chase as fraud a month ago and I still haven't gotten a refund (well I got a temporary credit, but the dispute's not been resolved and is still being investigated). Now Chase just called me because they want a detailed description of what exactly I bought. The rep I spoke to said they were "still waiting to hear from the merchant" lmao the whole website shut down, you won't hear anything from them! (but that will surely be in my favor in settling the dispute when they never hear back from the Village)

This is absolutely insane that Lana and her management team has allowed this to happen like it's nothing. No messages, no statements, just complete nonchalance

It sure would be a shame if the media picked up a story of "Singer Lana Del Rey scams fans out of thousands of dollars on unfulfilled orders from shuttered store; management team indifferent to issue as singer campaigns for Grammys"

    :crossed:

From what I understood we have some members here with possibilities to contact her management, don't we? I think it would make sense to write to them about it, also in Lana's favor, as just like you say, sooner or later this might get into the media.

I’m so glad she continued with her music. The 2010’s were great, but also really harsh. She wasn’t quite happy, faced backlash from critics, and didn’t get the recognition she deserved. Fast forward to now, she’s nominated for 5 Grammy’s, she’s been getting lots of praise by both critics and the general public, and now she’s happy. This photoshoot really solidifies her success to me.

Very true but I think it is very important to realize she was firstly happy, and then the success came 😊 So this happiness is most likely something which came to stay, and it won't leave her when she gets bad critics in the future. I think she's over this period and pretty independent, knowing what really matters.

got a wave of nostalgia bc it reminded me of this 50s/60s pin up girl one that my mom had when i was a kid esp the pics with the cats + red background and the blue satin heart

You're totally right, reminds me of Gil Elvgren whose style I used for a lot of LDR AI creations

There are few people worthy of an 11 p.m. phone call on a school night, but Lana Del Rey is certainly one of those folks. After all, less than a month into 2024, it’s already shaping up to be the year of Lana: The singer is set to headline Coachella in April, and she’s also nominated for five Grammy Awards this year, including an Album of the Year nod for the masterful Did You Know That There's a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. “It’s fun because I executively produced it, like I did my last two albums,” Del Rey tells Vogue of her nominations. But there's more…

Today, Del Rey becomes the newest face of Skims, fronting a Valentine’s Day collection out January 23rd. Modeling for fashion brands is nothing new for Del Rey, who has also been tapped as a Gucci muse in the past. The collaboration with Kim Kardashian (and her multi-billion dollar shapewear brand), she says, is especially personal. “I love Kim, and I love her family,” Del Rey says. “Me and my sister are huge fans of them, and have been watching them forever.” (The pair also have history: Back in 2014, Del Rey performed at Kardashian and ex husband Kanye West’s pre-wedding festivities.)

In honor of the new campaign, Vogue caught up with Del Rey to talk why she loves Skims, what she thinks about Valentine’s Day—“I'm sentimental, so of course I'm going to love Valentine's Day!”—as well as creating one of the most celebrated albums of the year. Plus, a bit on what fans can expect from her upcoming Coachella set, too.

right?? its spot on. the hair is the only thing making me question if its real, bc its kim/kylie style hair and nothing she's gone for before. but like. IT EATS  and lana likes wigs

Reminds me of her hairdo on the Tunnel standard cover photo though.

Something about her face/hair is too perfect it’s giving me AI/Photoshop vibes

Also where are her collarbone tats?

My first thought was AI, too. The body looks more like her than the face 😅
