i really hate the way that album sounds. which is a pity because pawn shop blues and yayo are two of my favourite songs. her voice is ethereal and beautiful and then there are these ugly ass sounds…

i knew this lyric sounded familiar. it is inspired by the book women who run with the wolves by clarissa pinkola estés, which lana has previously recommended.

i guess i just understand, because she doesn’t want to be a performer circus monkey, but she still wants to create. in the current music industry this is a bit of a predicament. i can relate to that feeling so it’s easy for me to give her grace. but i’d also never spend a fortune on an artist’s performance or stand there waiting for hours so 🤷‍♀️
