    Ngl when I read this for the first time then (I read it verg fast), I thought that it was about that singer Alma (the one who had neon green hair) that she has a new song w Lana and that she had three (unreleased) albums with Lana since 2019 and I was like wtf and how random and wtf!?

    I'm so addicted to Digital Dream Girl. I'm obsessed with this, I have listened to that song at least 1000 times this month. The song was kind of ahead of its time, honestly, even prophetic. It was released in 2014 but it had that retrofuturistic 80s dream synth pop sound which everyone started doing again in 2020 and also the song talks about a long distant relationship and love through screen, which was also a very current topic in 2020 :illumilana:

    When I heard the song for the first time, the loud ass intro freaked me the fuck out. It's probably one of her most playful instrumental in an uneasy way (obv in a good way). I love how the song gets silent before Lana starts singing "oh baby I'm just human" and then some strange piano like note starts coming with strings.

     

    Honeymoon album had honestly her most creative, playful and beautiful instrumentals ever.

    I mean singer's job is to sing after all, like directors direct movies but they can also write scripts for the movie like singers write for songs. 

     

    I mean it's not that awful when singers do not write their own songs or are co-writers. But to me if the song is written by a famous songwriter but it's sung by an another singer, the song is still the songwriter's song for me, it's kinda like covering. I don't consider Ghetto Baby Cheryl Cole's song lol :bebe: it's still Lana song for me

    i sometimes forget that UV has deluxe version with bonus tracks :toofunny: in my head btd has always been a 15 track album and uv 16 track album.

     

    my unpopular opinion is that i don't like when albums are short. my ideal would be a 14-16 track album (that's most of her albums tho). it feels more full and i don't have any need for more. it's like eating a full meal lol.
