I made a post about this in a different thread and I still listen to some of those songs here:
On 8/24/2023 at 10:11 PM, Embach said:I remember someone said that 13 Beaches sounds like Hans Zimmer's Time and I listened to it then and they're actually very alike. You can actually sing 13 Beaches over it it's probably because of Dan Heath's influence, he did the orchestra for 13 Beaches and he has previously worked with Hans Zimmer!
Also Your Girl really reminds me of Portishead's Glory Box, especially when the bluesy jazzy strings appear:
Nostalghia's Be My Man and Weyes Blood's Mirror Forever, in my opinion, are kinda similar melodically to Ultraviolence the title track:
Also these two songs, which I have talked about earlier:
Florence + The Machine's Over The Love sounds exactly like a song from Born To Die, especially with the beats because it was produced by Emile Haynie, also in the beginning, the song samples Lana's breaths from the intro of Burning Desire!
Lana allegedly sampled Princess Chelsea's No Church On Sunday in Heroin!

43 minutes ago, Ocean Boulevard said:All of the things people already said but I was always wondering if Lana & Chuck shot a music video for Yosemite.
Chuck posted this on March 23rd 2017
Link: https://www.instagram.com/p/BR9lKEOhEzw/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
She tagged several people in that photo including Ben & Lanas Honeymoon account. She also tagged Kodak which seems to be a photoshoot/ film production team/ company.
Since she posted it in March and you can see the trees are green, the pic must be older, maybe from 2016. In 2016 she also shot the Love video if I'm not mistaken.
On April 23rd 2017 Chuck posted another photo of Yosemite.
She later reposted the photo I linked on July 20th 2018 and I wonder why. But if there is a Yosemite music video I wonder even more why Lana didn't release it in 2021 when she released Yosemite
Or maybe they did a photoshoot there or I'm just interpreting too much into this photo , but Chuck tagging Ben, Lana, Kodak + other people , the way the people in the photo are dressed sth seems sus to me. Also Lana said in an Interview during LFL pre release era that Yosemite was her favourite song from the album, so I wouldn't be surprised if they made a video for it.
I really love that photo & if there is a music video with those visuals for Yosemite, I need it more than anything else
Also here the link to Kodaks insta account:

I think I posted about this a long time ago already in the COCC post release thread , but it's still a mystery to me & I thought this thread is a good opportunity to bring it up again
maybe it was an inspiration for chuck's kodak reference video or something which was later reused for pawn shop blues mv?

dark brown is classic lana, it's my favorite hair color on lana but i also loved black and blonde hair.
but there's something about red hair lana which was so iconic and perfect during the born to die era and honeymoon era

Imo interludes are fillers. Like I love Burnt Norton - probably the only interlude of hers I love but the reason I'm against interludes is that they take a good spot of another outtake that could've been amazing I kinda hate when there are a lot of interludes in albuns though but not gonna lie I love interludes as intros or outros of the album though, that makes the most sense to me

When Lana's new album is called Never Forget or like Forgive Never Forget or Always Forgive Never Forget some shit like that. I wouldn't even wonder if she has a song like that already

I wasn't really that hyped for Cherry music video and I'm still wondering why some fans want it, in today's Chuck insta posts about the new Hollywood Reporter (or whatever the name was) magazine photoshoot there were still some comments about Cherry music video, like get over it already it has been 6 fucking years...

If she's going for an Americana sound and she's working with a brand new writer then idk why but my first thought was Aaron Dessner. I think he and Lana would make great songs together...

When she’s writing with Barrie and we get an album that sounds like all the 2012-2013 tropico/uv outtakes

We need to start thinking now: who's the new co-writer and they have a polished writing style apparently?
