I LOVE HER! She gets compared to Lana a lot, not sure what they have in common other than that they explore some similar American archetypes in their music but idk Marina is more the fun, dancey one and the person I relate to lyrics-wise. Like all that teenage angst that's still left in me as a college student is exactly what I relate to in her songs. But Lana is more of an aspirational/inspirational figure to me. I can relate to her too but idk she has that added quality to her that puts her in another world, like someone who knows how to express everything I can't put into words so basically Lana is my mother but Marina is my bestest friend

Grammies/award shows are kind of a joke BUT I would be so happy for my bbygurl Lana to win. Not sure if these have been said before in the past 19 pages of posts but I don't care if she's had her lips/nose/whatever done. It's her body, her choice. I don't care much for those snippets I just want to wait until the full songs come out!! I'm not really a fan of her with the super dark brown hair (the color it was in Ride). Cape Cod this summer we would drive around in my friend's Jeep and play nothing but Lana and listen to her on the beach just lying out for hourssss This was shortly after the National Anthem video came out and we would just drive around and be like AHHH we are living in the National Anthem video If you've ever been to the area you would get this omg it was so perfect As for the summer album vs fall album debate I'd have to side with summer, but almost all of Lana's music reminds me of the summertime!
