I would be scared of this, because the constant transitions on chromatica made all the songs blend together, nothing really stood out apart from 911 and Babylon, but AG and the other producers are good enough to avoid that pitfall. It's not like any of the songs we know of sound the same.

Have some of you forgotten that we're in the age of streaming? Artists only make money when touring, this is definitely not the actual tour, you're just saying that because it would mean we're getting the album sooner... With 7 shows she'd make back the money of the speed drive music video (not von dutch), the cost of that ugly cover and a kebab. She's going to tour for several months, just like she did before. A reminder that if covid didn't happen the Charli tour would still have been ongoing by the release date of HIFN...

OK, maybe I was wrong on the remix. It's insanely catchy and while I still don't like the bit right before the scream as much, the drop has grown on me. He didn't flop, just went for another sound than I was expecting.

Idk, I kind of think AG flopped on this one. I already felt like the drop on that final chorus was subpar on the original, but the one on the remix is worse? Let's hope Britpop will be better... I do like the new lyrics with Adison Rae and the call out of toxic "fans" at the end though. The original did grow on me, so maybe the remix will too, I'm still listening to it

I haven't listened to pre-Vroom Vroom Charli, but if you want to check out her more experimental stuff, I'd recommend starting with Number 1 Angel as a bridge between convential pop, electronic music and "hyperpop". Then check out Pop2 and then Vroom Vroom, that EP was way too experimental for me when I first heard it, but now I love it. From there just go in order but be sure to not skip the 2018-2019 droplets era and XCX World. Use this tracker to check out XCX World as well as her other unreleased. Most of her best work has a star next to it. Sadly some links did expire, which will be fixed eventually, but a lot of the songs exist on Soundcoud and YT if you want to listen to them.

I didn't realise her tours start like a week after album release, thank God we won't need to wait to long after the album release. Though for some of us she'll only be here 2 months later...

I didn't pay attention to it during crash and wasn't here before that, but when can we start expecting a tour anouncement and the tour dates? I know it won't be tomorrow but I'd just like to know when we get this information usually, because I'm not going to Spain just for Charli...

I could do with that terrible AI cover of Charli singing Daddy Knows. The one where she can't hold a note and her lungs are giving out. It was amazing!

I thought about that too, since she's teased it too much while saying it isn't on the album. I don't think so though, it would be a weird choice, Xcxoplex, Heavy, Bullets even No Body... They are all relatively deep songs where the production can shine. The production is good, but not good enough for an AG album I think. It's also very much about being a ravey brat, which isn't the theme of Britpop.

Was that tweet misogynous in some way, more than likely, but she can't defend herself, most people that dislike the cover just think it sucks. I don't mind the other 3, I like Dua's and Taylor's and I don't know about Ariana's but I guess it will fit the vibe of the record. Charli's though... It isn't her first time without her face front and center. I wasn't there at the time but did people react negatively to the vroom vroom artwork being just a car? Because I like that one, I think it works, I can't say the same about brat. The difference in between those 2 reactions isn't misogyny, it's people disliking ugly / low effort stuff. If she was just defending her contemporaries I'd be right there with her, but I feel like if her album wasn't brought up, she wouldn't have cared one bit.

I think you misread, I think only Bounce has SOPHIE involved... Silver Cross is amazing though, possibly the best song on that album

The way both the lyrics and production mimic It's Okay To Cry. Honestly makes me wish this was another Number 1 Angel, crying into the champagne rather than drinking it. I kind of want Cecile to do the backing vocals on this song as an extra added layer. Not that it needs it, it's already perfect.

Speaking about LA and Only 1 I Love, likely Charli, maybe HIFN. Dylan Brady has not produced a single song on Crash, or any of the leaks we've had regarding the era. While it is pretty tame by Dylan standards, I think it's too out there for Crash, they feel like Unlock It or Warm, poppy songs that would stand out too much on a pop album. Also if we really want to know we can look at the metadata of other songs and leaks produced by him since 2018. I'm not going to, it sounds very Charli to me. No track 11 on her own and then Caroline features on an amazing remix of the track. This shit is never gonna happen

Some of her shorter songs are really good, but I want her to attempt a track 10 again. She'll likely never hit that high again, but I'd like for her to try, that song is so heavenly and a shorter version would have reduced effect. The reason I'm upset is that she's said on multiple occasions that she prefers shorter songs and I'm afraid after an album full of them, she won't come back from there.

I just ran the numbers and I fucking hate how short the songs are going to be... If there were to be 1 4 minute song, the others would need to be 2 minutes and 40 seconds long on average, and I don't expect her to put a single 4 minute song on a record full of short 2.5 minute songs, but the math gets worse when you account for multiple songs of 3.5 minutes or longer. 3 minutes 20 might be the longest song on there and that hurts...

or maybe think about putting a little box or outline around all text. It doesn't really matter that I can't see the creation date but I think I deserve to see how many pages there are, which is incredibly hard with the grey on the busy background.

If you're at your maximum now, just imagine what the half year spanning edging session will do to you in the lead up to this album...

I find this funny, because I don't feel like she committed enough to that ugly hatecrime of a cover. If she wanted to commit to this dadaist abstraction of art, go all the way, why are you on the inside of the sleeve, why are you on the single cover? Make the brat "logo" slightly off center, add some splotches or crinkles to it to make it look like a forgotten flyer in a puddle. I also fail to see the distinction between this as art and trolling, because I don't see the meaning it is meant to represent. Or is anything art nowadays if it reaches a big enough audience and illicits a response?

I'm 100% convinced she came up with the idea of punching the camera guy to death after flying into a seething rage after being asked to play taxi one too many times. Also the song is fine, it just doesn't get me as hyped as her other hypesongs like Next Level Charli, pink diamond, anthems or I Love It. The end didn't build enough for me...

Look I don't mind the plain background with lowercase text, but come on, this could have been so much better. She could have used an interesting or even custom typeface and make sure it isn't pixilated. Add in some kind of texture like marble or whatever and I would have been content, not impressed, but fine. Just because I get it, doesn't mean I have to like it.
