The Right Person Will Stay - Pre-Release Thread (OUT: May 21st, 2025)

I kinda wish Barrie is on a couple songs for this album, I really like his work with Lana in the past, especially if it's going to be acoustic -

Lana was riding a bike once she found out she had cancer, so she took a break at the park to look at the birds with sucking on her honey packet for later at night w Jeremy -

I wouldn't mind it being acoustic, as long as it's interesting. There are many piano ballad songs, or acoustic songs that I enjoy because it's not flat and it's interesting. As long as her producers and her put an effort to make it interesting I'm fine w it being acoustic (im not there better be a trap beat on there) -

The first one in particular looks so gorgeous. I could totally see Lana do a Chemtrails 2.0 with the color but just in color. It'd be amazing to have the producers and her friends on the album cover with her! -

We could also assume that she's teasing the song being on the album. Most likely it's not going to be on this album, and she's being random. Or in fact, it will be on the album, and the reply she made to the comment was teasing it. We just have to wait and see if it's an album track or one of the singles. Also, when do you guys think the singles could be coming? Let's take what Lana said at face value, that the album will be coming on May 21st, and that there will be singles coming being Stagecoach in April. I am thinking the likely thing would be a January release for the lead single, Henry. And then the second single March, with the third being on album release. I feel like that's pretty likely. Or she might drop two singles on the same day. Or drop the lead single closer to the album date, like March, and the second single in April. Regardless, I'm fine with the singles being closer to the supposed album date, as long as she's active with teasers, or her Instagram posts, or even insiders -

So, whoever suggested that Roses Bloom For You would be on this album because of Zach Dawes being on the album... I thank you -

(YESS HOLLY MACVE MENTIONED OMG) But yeah I agree with you, Lana’s version of stripped back is not amusing to me. But at least the Henry snippet as clear vocals, so many they are mixing her voice a lot better on this upcoming album. Which party? -

Yes, piano ballads and guitar ballads are so good and can be a really good song... you just have the utilize what's given to you. Use your voice and make some interesting melodies and harmonies. With piano, layer different keys and sounds in the song, to add structure and depth, to make it more powerful and exciting. With guitar, guitar is one of the most versatile instruments, you can lean into the plucking side of guitars and use some funky chords, or strum and make some awesome melodies. I feel like the problem with some of Lana's piano and guitar ballads, is that she makes them flat. If she wants to make her songs laid back and stripped, go ahead! (I mean don't but it's wtv) But just make it more entertaining. That's why I like her songs Change, Yosemite, Nectar of the Gods, Ocean Blvd, & Candy Necklace for those interesting piano/guitar ballads imo -
THANK YOU FOR MENTIONING ME

You don't think that Norman is an iconic opener -

Yes, I was just thinking this the other day. We need another iconic intro song to her album like Cruel World, Norman Fucking Rockwell, & Honeymoon. I feel like we haven't gotten a true iconic album opener from her in a while. I'm thinking the album opener starts off with the sickest instrumental that builds up and then Lana comes in with a snarky witty line that's going to be iconic and great.. lowk like A&W -

Yeah I think he’s saying that the country album they worked on in 2018 is different from the project now. Which I feel like he thought that but I think this confirmation. Yeah that’s definitely likely. Turns out this time those songs won’t be released with that country album, unless she decides to use the songs they made in 2018 in this album (looking at you PGICM) -

Here's the Variety link: Jack Antonoff on Lana Del Rey's 'Darkness' and Producing Taylor Swift His interview on December 11th with Variety: At your Ally Coalition concert in 2018, Lana played two country songs that she said you had written together that nobody’s heard since. Has the country album that she’s been talking about for ages been in the works since that time? I’m not really sure, because she’s always got these, like, little planes on the tarmac, and some take off, and some don’t, and some take off and circle back around. A perfect example is that second half of “A&W” [the “Shimmy-shimmy koko-pop” rapping section]. That was around for a long time, and I kept feeling like “We’ve got to finish it,” but she knew … She’s an interesting person, we make a lot of things, and they live in different periods of time, and they grow and they change. I don’t mean to give an overly esoteric answer, but she’s an artist who is completely as she seems. There’s no fucking Oz there. Most of these people are as they seem.
