I was kinda kii'ing when LanaBoards got into The Bride bc it is undoubtedly her least commercial work (apart from SEXWITCH side project obv). It's no surprise that people who are still Lana Del Rey fans after Honeymoon seem able to stand up to it though lol. I've always liked her catchy experimental dream pop as much as her emotional ballads, though, it's just that The Bride is full of the latter with only Sunday Love for reprieve. But like a lot of Lana's music, I think it's impressive in itself that The Bride is so slow and gloomy and depressive but still ultimately engaging. Haters can die

So y'all, is this achievable? I thought nah at first but I was imagining how slayful an Ultraviolence cover would be recently so I'm just wondering if anyone's interested. Like idk if it were $25 we'd still need 16 committed people But the less we pay I figure the less weirdly exclusive it would have to be (a Charli XCX 14 mess). Could also organize something with less people but more $$$ if that panned out. Just saying I'd be willing to spearhead this. Not us starting a pledge campaign within a pledge campaign
  4. Can someone leak this demo? @Eclipse
  5. I always thought that Brooklyn Baby coulda done something for her with a shorter radio edit. It at least deserved more than it got

The fact that I thought of this possibility too More so that she maybe didn't mention the title at all and was saying that she's working on ha album-study everyday lel As is, the title is odd but not heinous, probably needs contextualizing if it is in fact "Study Everyday" but I'm open to the word pairing Study by Kali Uchis is somehow just...less

Wait what if she was misquoted and the album is called Study? i.e. 'I have just been working on my album “Study" everyday so I’m just excited to be here and show my fans some of the new music and have a lot of fun.'

And I'm sure you do, frequently
  14. Definitely the latter. Look, Rick is her main writing partner and they work magic together but in the past we've had the luxury of only getting the cherry-picked BEST songs from each writing session. Look at UV: it's Rick-heavy but instead of putting filler like Yes to Heaven or Is This Happiness on the standard edition, she's able to replace them with the best songs from other cowriters. The most amazing songs from Honeymoon (The Blackest Day, Terrence Loves You, etc.) easily stand up to the Rick tracks on UV, but without any other cowriter, though, we're left with what is likely close to the whole Rick session. It must feel cohesive for her to put a record together this way and that's how she's able to do it so quickly but I can't imagine the opportunities for fresh inspiration she's probably missing as she goes into the studio day after day with Rick, feelin comfy
  15. I still doubt whether or not 24 or Swan Song could become masterpieces, even in Dan A or Emile's hands, but at least an additional producer shows it's not another Rick only tea. She'll make Honeymoon-esque orchestral songs like Wait For Life with Emile and not BTD 2.0 tho I bet...

Wow let me go rage delete ha discography Maybe if you were Sky Ferreira, but you've been setting us up for yearly releases, not to mention teasing so many songs. Is this just her way to troll and surprise release?
  17. She said "lots of surprises next week," I know that's kinda reachy for Sky but this whole time she's been teasing two projects: one directed by her, and then a collab with her friend Sandy Kim. This cover still leaves the video, and it kinda makes sense for everything to come out at once like this instead of waiting to premiere it. More album details tomorrow though, hopefully more concrete than ever Someone harass Newtown Radio
  18. The worst part is that she performed Pretty Dull in THAT studio session and we just don't have it (iirc) But is that worse than posting full lyrics of a song that's never getting released bc she switched from the I Will EP to NTMT last minute? Idk but RIP I'm Not Alright

I'm relistening to ARTPOP and realizing that most of its problems are in the DJ White Shadow songs for me He ruined Sexxx Dreams and Swine with his cheap ass production, even MANiCURE and ARTPOP are questionable after getting hacked from the Swinefest versions, and his trap background caused her to record fucking Jewels N Drugs. He did right on Applause and DWUW but good riddance
  20. Kinda loving this concept. Yes queen. He's ragged.

More and more people indeed, like the good, not psychotic sis Constantine. NOT the obsessed haters following her latest single religiously on the internet

I feel like Perfect Illusion will be her West Coast. Not super indicative of the whole album, but still obviously showing the change in her direction/sound. Actually I've been thinking this whole time that this entire release is a West Coast single tea Its weird how divisive it was back then when everyone seems to love it now. Those of you who think she's gonna be serving anything extremely different from the first single though will be disappointed. Also the infamous tempo change = infamous key change

Freakshow is not even in her top 10 unreleased. Don't be cute.
