Actually she mentioned it on this new NME interview From what it seems, she was not exactly interested in artists to collab with, but people bts like producers, photographers, engineers etc. She even said that she might do another post like that one because she discovered a lot of great female creatives.

This truly feels like a Marina album and follow up to Froot. In fact, I feel like in some ways it takes the best parts of the first 3 records to make something unique. Venus Flytrap is THE ONE though. I'm happy she saved it to launch the album.

I don't think anyone hates it, it's just that 1. it's very underwhelming compared to everything she put out, 2. she is more like a feature than lead artist, 3. the song is virtually the same from the interlude that was released almost a year prior.
