This is also like not the first time she has made passive aggressive tweets about female artists “stealing” her sound/art. The fact that she has the audacity to claim shes not mad after that tweet storm. Claiming her issue is that no one ran it by her, like, did she expect a personal outreach from everyone involved in Nasty Cherry asking permission to record with her former producer and professing their admiration for her work? She needs to get over herself. Courtney Love and Debbie Harry never dragged her for stealing their entire looks/sounds when she decided to go alt/grunge, so I dont know why she feels she owns the alt-pop sound.

Omg I just saw that twitter argument she had with fans. What is even her argument here? She says they’re stealing from her and trying to recreate her songs (tbh I dont think Nasty Cherry’s music sounds like hers other than the fact that its pop-rock and the girls singing style is ~similar~), then says its men who are stealing from her, then says shes not threatened by NC because its a sound she’s already done. Like what point is she even trying to make. That fan kinda dragged tf out of her.

The original 24 Hour Album version didn’t leak. The reworked version with added production from Umru did. It was reworked around the same time as I Got It was reworked for Pop 2.

I’m sorry but I’m so sick of her sob stories about “people taking advantage of her music” or whatever it is. It was semi-believable for NTMT because we knew that project was actually delayed, but NTMT was by all means a very successful album, so I find it hard to believe that Capitol is restricting her releases again after NTMT was made with almost no label money and sold decent. I also find it interesting how last year it was an undisclosed chronic illness that was holding up the album (also a visual EP that she promised us), and now its back to blaming the label. I just find jt really hard to believe that THAT many people are actively working against her.

As an album the songs didnt really work together, but it had a lot of solid songs. No Drama, No Contest, Ooh La La, Faded Love, and Joyride are all solid tracks

I get that that they both had music produced by Justin Raisen and the lead singers voice kinda sounds like her but like I find it weird that Sky herself is comparing when Nasty Cherry’s music isn’t even...........good. I get that she’s bitter that these girls have a Netflix show and she has a bunch of unfinished music, but like why even give breath to the idea that their (not good) music is anywhere near your own.

She released an album in April 2018, two singles after that in Summer/Fall. We’re hardly starved for music.

You have to think of them less like a band and more like a group. You can tell all of these girls are just in it for the exposure and the paycheck. You can hear how disinterested in the music theyre making they are.
