If XCX3 really is going to be tracks like 1999, Shoes, Next Life, Thousand Times, etc then I feel like I would be cool with her bringing back Can You Hear Me. Its a really strong pop song but it just always felt very out of place with the rest of the original XCX3 tracklist. I feel like it would fit well sonically with the new songs though.

To be fair this thread started when 99% of Charli XCX's fans were also diehard Lana fans and then as her career grew, this was sort of the place for actually reliable news/discussion about Charli and word got around. I think I actually joined the forum in 2014 but I remember it was the only place to go for Charli news in 2012- early 2014

Its so funny to see how the whole Nicki/Lil Kim thing has come full circle with Cardi/Nicki. The universe is really giving Nicki the karma that she deserves.

Ok but those arent lyrics? Theyre just like random works shes saying while forming a vocal melody. Thats how a lot of songwiters record their melodies and then they go back and actually write the lyrics and keep some of the lines that they freestyled. Its like We Don’t Stop with Kim. Shes saying words but they dont mean anything. The song clearly wasnt done when SOPHIE debuted it, and from what it sounds like neither of them has touched it since except SOPHIE using it to fill up her setlists.

Did the song have lyrics yet? Because last time I checked if an artist hasnt bothered writing lyrics to a concept demo they first came up with years ago, its probably not getting finished or released.

I don't think she'll do a headlining tour until she releases an album. She hasn't toured the last two mixtapes so if she releases another I doubt she'll tour it. Plus she'll have just gotten off a huge tour. I think she'll take a break and we wont see a tour until spring 2019 at the earliest.

She's stated that she would never want to be independent and the whole point of the monthly releases was to build hype alongside the exposure of the tour to build the fanbase. Atlantic is attempting to launch her like they would a new artist and it's actually a pretty smart idea, I think the monthly singles aren't being promo'd because they're not meant for an album or anything. I think they're waiting to release any kind of serious single until after the tour so she's free to do press/promo/videos/etc
