  1. this is my issue with it, I don't actually dislike it but it's so sickeningly sweet it's hard for me to listen to too much
  2. This is not ECLIPSEBOARDS this is LANABOARDS, can we keep the discussion on topic please? I KNOW I'm not the only one who comes on here and hates having to scroll through pages and pages of drama just because people can't let something go. No offense to anyone, but it's making this post unreadable.
  3. What about something like YOU AND I ___? You and I Lose You and I Love You and I Learn But You Are In Love sounds more legit.

  5. Pretty much all the lyrics from Pawn Shop Blues. It's seems so personal and desperate, and I love the little details like the "gold and made of flowers dangling." I sorta love that with such detailed, tight lyrics in the verses, the chorus is basically just "Oh no, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh, oh oh." Well, I didn't know it would come to this but That's what happens when you're on your own And you're alright with letting nice things go Well, I pawned the earrings that you gave me Gold and made of flowers dangling And I almost cried as I sold them all And I don't mind living on bread and oranges, no, no But I got to get to and from where I come And it's gonna take money to go In the name of higher consciousness I let the best man I knew go Cause it's nice to love and be loved But it's better to know all you can know I said it's nice to love and be loved But I'd rather know what God knows I can't do this once more No man can keep me together Been broken since I was born
  6. She can basically pull off any hair color, let's be real.
  7. Lights, camera, acción I'll do it on my own Don't need your money, money To get me what I want Though High By the Beach isn't my favorite Lana song, these lyrics really get to me on an emotional level. Not just because she's harking back to Put Me in a Movie (reoccurring lyrics is another thing that she occasionally does that I truly adore) but because it touches me in this dark, needy way where I want to break free.
  8. It's really clever how she mixes those two lines like that, I don't think I ever noticed! The repetition here really works to build the intensity in the chorus.
  9. they way you just explained why you love those lyrics gave me a newfound love and perspective on them
  10. I think we can all agree Lana does some cool things with lyrics, whether it be her rich imagery, intricate rhymes or clever wordplay. So, I thought it would be interesting to see what everyone's favorite Lana lyrics are, including her unreleased material. I'll start with a few of my own favorites. Get Drunk Cigarettes and Robitussin, will I ever get to heaven? These lyrics are really powerful to me because of the desperation I read/hear in them. Also, if you've ever fucked around with DXM (ingredient in Robitussin that makes you trip), you'll understand the drugged out hazy feeling in this line. Wayamaya I remember an all white day Fucking love this one because of how she uses "an all white day" to explain a flaw-free day. I remember we came in May And we changed our names To Lana and Ray We be up to the sun rosé I’m in gold lamé Your pink floral haze I really enjoy when she starts a rhyme and keeps hitting it over and over again with these really vivid descriptions. Similar to Off to the Races. Also, I love the reference to "Lana and Ray." Raise Me Up (Mississippi South) It's the voodoo, Mississippi south 69 million stars Birds are flying out of my mouth Spirits creeping in my yard Hold my head, it's tilting back Something dancing me around Putting crystals on my neck Lifting my feet off the ground This one is just amazing, sinister imagery that we don't get too much from Lana, and I love it. I can picture everything she sings about when I listen to the song and it makes this one of my favorites.
  11. well, this is making my boring Saturday evening more interesting! btw, whoever is manipping those Lana pics, the boobs are ALLLL wrong tbh.
  12. I'm excited to see the unreleased tracks results! Thanks for doing the survey, btw!

  15. I know a lot of people hate the idea of the album being titled Subversive, but I actually kinda like it tbh! I have a feeling one of the tracks will have the title/or contain the lyrics "Short Road" if Eclipse is being legit with his #SR comments on twitter. He teased something like... "But you took the... #SR," that's where I'm getting the idea from. Anyway, I'd love an album mixed with a sorta Ultraviolence/Lana Del Ray feel, as well as a dash of that surf noir we've gotten in some of her unreleased. It'd be neat to hear something with a somewhat eerie/dark feel like Strange Love/Velvet Crowbar/Catch and Release. If I'm being completely honest, tho, I'll be happy whatever she puts out because I'm just that much of a brainwashed fangirl.
  16. This is so hard! I seriously can't do a top five, it'll have to be a top 6 and even that pains me: Velvet Crowbar Angels Forever, Forever Angels Wayamaya Driving in Cars With Boys (Demo) Trash Magic Get Drunk
  17. Great survey! I had such a damn hard time with the favorite unreleased songs question, tho. I ended up just answering with what I've been listening to lately and it felt wrrrrong.
