Obviously I love the album overall and the new tracks but I just can’t get enough of Blue Banisters (title track) I can’t possibly rank them, but it’s top three amongst the title tracks for me (with COCC and NFR).

Also, I swear some of you complain when her team doesn’t do shit, but when they do you’re callling them desperate. Make it make fucking sense. That was a DJ number in support of a Marsha P Johnson foundation iirc. The real streaming party where she was gonna use a software similar to this one that Lana is using was cancelled.

His review was basically this like, he acknowledged that she experimented more on this record but he didn’t like the execution. Tbh I don’t find the review (his explanation, not the grade) to be that irrational. I obviously disagree with what he said about dealer, but I do get the BBS criticism for example and I agree with what he considered to be some of the album highlights.

5/10 He dragged BBS, Beautiful, Dealer and Textbook 💀 His favorites: BB, Arcadia, Thunder He also didn’t like the vocals on most of the album.

I’m so glad that I never listened to Living Legend because it’s one of my favorites from the album, I’m obsessed That said, I wish I hadn’t overplayed Cherry Blossom because I would have been snatched if this was my first time listening to it.

Question for Lanaboards: Now that you have spent several pages debating whether you’re a true fan for liking or disliking Blue Banisters, can I go back to saying Honeymoon is her worst album without being crucified or saying that I’m not a true fan? I’m fed up with this fanbase saying that I’m tasteless or a fake fan just because I don’t like Honeymoon that much and that I think Norman Fucking Rockwell! Is her best album.

You’re absolutely right. I’m re-reading this again and actually no one explicitly said it was bad, I guess I’ve seen way too many comments bashing it/Jack in the past months that I immediately associated it with that 😅 That said, to me NFR is not a washed out or a less authentic representation of herself. Back when it dropped, I saw it as this kind of “culmination” of her sound where she found how to express herself through music in a most polished, honest and cohesive way. I do feel like both COCC and BB are albums where Lana is experimenting or defining her next steps musically and I think she’s diving deeper into storytelling than ever before. I specially sense that experimentation with COCC, it almost feels like she’s lost with the messages she wants to convey (I’m not shading the album though, I love and thought it received a lot of undeserved hate).

Bye, NFR is not bad at all and it is (one of) her best. How can you say that when that album has Venice Bitch ,The Greatest and California amongst other career highlights? I love both COCC and BB, but in my opinion none of the tracks there are as strong as the NFR highlights.

I feel like most people (including me) are not sad because she won’t post but rather at how she must be feeling to decide to abruptly close her social media. I used to work in one of the major record labels and social media is crucial for release date of a project, not only for communicating to your fan base but by sharing/supporting the digital platforms’ support for her album. So if even if with all of this in mind she decided to post that sad looking video a month before her release, then something must be wrong with her at the moment.
