It's OK, but a bit boring. It's not just that it's slow -- but that it's slow and there aren't a lot of lyrics, so the words feel dragged out to finish the lines. Also, her slow songs are better with more interesting drum/bass lines, IMO. I'd take pretty much every song on BTD over this.
She sounds great vocally, but I hope the rest of the album is more interesting. If it's 14 songs of this, it will be a huge let-down.
U say dis but btd itself doesn't even have that many lyrics. The bridge is literally the same lyrics as the rest of it lol.

"there are guns that blaze around you".. well u know the part when he was shot.
"there are roses in between my thighs" Jackie Kennedy had a bouquet of roses on her lap when JFK was killed. i remember some interview where she talked about all the roses people had.
"its no wonder every man in town had neither fought nor found you" sort of has the same message of these lyrics "He was the king of the town with a crown that would never fall" ,"One in a million, inimitable song"

if anything she referenced young and beautiful.
also as someone who has written songs.. when you make the chords.. sometimes the progressions just happen naturally.. so perhaps young and beautiful bridge and this bridge have similar chord progressions but .. it doesn't mean that she just did copied and pasted out of laziness its just where the song naturally went
like.. the chord progression for knocking on heavens door, flipside and part of without you are similar.. its just natural

I love, love, love the song. BUT
They don't like the song. It's not a big deal. Opinions, assholes, and all that. it's not "disrespectful" to decide you don't like something. If I go to a restaurant and I hate the food, it's not "disrespectful" because the chef spent time on it.
..yyeah but I'm allowed to criticize this opinion just like they can criticize the song.. i don't care if they dislike the song.. but i think calling it shit is a little harsh... :/ its just disappointing to see yanno?

Honestly shut up if you're not going to let someone dislike the song. Grow up.
As for me, I'm not entirely blown away, but I'm glad I have a sense of what the album is going to sound like. I think she definitely achieved the noir feel she was going for. I also like the build up to the end. Makes me think this is the opening track with the next track being a little faster. The instrumental is the best part; so eerie.
