Oh yeah, it’s a beautiful song but I am hoping that’s it’s one of the weaker tracks on the album, it’s essentially a yassified IYLDWM (which I’m completely fine with). I do prefer it over IYLDWM and LMLYLAW to an extent though, it’s like a more fully realized version of them it sounds like a Hans Zimmer-ification of Lana’s past two albums

thankfully I just can't imagine an album filled with 'fuck me to death' and 'american whore' and everything else to be extremely Christian who knows with Lana though. She seems like a very 'cultural Christian' that appreciates mostly its aesthetics. I say this as a somewhat cultural Catholic that celebrates stuff like Day of the Dead and has Our Lady of Guadalupe stuff around my apartment even though I'm not Catholic at all but was raised as it. I'm hoping it's just like how some people said the spoken word intro of the NFR trailer was, which I can see tbh.

I have a good feeling that this album will be really special and for the fans and critics alike (yes Ik not everyone likes critics BUT they are pretty important for Lana getting more attention). I think some really solid producers are on this project, and judging just from this song, they mesh together REALLY WELL. I secretly hope each producer tries to one up each other and have their own Xtina moment. Twinkling pianos, heavy strings, dreamy guitars, the bass, the lyrics…ahhh I’m just so excited. I just need the track list ahhh

I love how the electric guitar has the same country slide guitar sound as LMLYLAW near the bridge but then progressively gets more clashy/warm, similar to the MAC ending tbh also see guys even though there was piano it wasn’t a piano flop, it’s such a great accompaniment to the song actually
