the worst is done i realy like the album so far! it's less in your face than titanic rising but I don't think she needs moments like that as an artist anymore. She had some Carole King/Judee Sill vibes in TR but it's in full force on this album and I love it. It’s more of an organic sound that sounds more natural for her imo

idk if this makes sense but there's like this kinda cloudy/muffled feeling (i guess from the reverb) in a lot of the songs that reminds me of listening to pop radio in my parents' car in the 2000s/2010s late at night (midnight I guess). oddly comforting. it's like hearing the song Adorn by Miguel while driving home at night if that makes sense lol. it's a very nocturnal album

there’s no way it’s worse than Lover, I think it’s better than Lover and Rep but worse than the Folkmore albums

I don’t think it’s that bad, just not as good as Folklore/Evermore (Tbf it can be pretty hard to top those). The jazzy/midcentury marketing for this was really weird and misleading though lol. There’s some cool indietronica/chillwave-ish and synthwave moments on here

Modern American EDM is so ugly, which is sad considering the history of EDM and its queer origins in America I don’t even listen to KPOP but people hating on it for no reason is so weird to me and sometimes seems a bit racially motivated. Same thing with people hating on popular artists like Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Beyoncé, Taylor, etc. let people enjoy things.. if you don’t like it, don’t listen to it George Harrison was clearly the best Beatle and All Things Must Pass is better than the vast majority of their discography Cool is Gwen Stefani’s best song (idk if this is underrated but wanted to put it out there) I find Solar Power quite nice actually but the three middle songs (The Man With The Axe -> Big Star) are a bit unneeded. Leader of a New Regime should’ve been the opener too like in her concerts. CAPRISONGS is GREAT. Idk where or how the hate for that one came about, it’s so fun and cute

Mostly agree but MAC/VB era was unmatched with their radio premieres, being shook by MAC and then VB being announced, the way she casually announced the album title…iconic behavior she did some things right though, like the surf pop up, The greatest/FIILY MV, etc
