  1. @bustert

Thank you, and I'm going to call Live Nation again today to clarify because the wording they used was: I would be escorted into the pit before Silver, this is what has me so upset because I know what she told me and her exact words were that. I even questioned her about it and she repeated, yes, we can use our pit tickets instead of our assigned seats that come with our gold packages, and we will have early entry and be escorted to the pit before Silver package holders enter the venue.

I was just curious as to how long we would be there before silver arrived.

I have her name, the date and time of the call, so I will clear this up today. There isn't a problem on their end. They've been very nice to me, and understanding about everything we went through at Dallas. I can't say anything bad about Live Nation.

I think this will probably be the last concert I attend for a while though; I believe it's time to travel a bit and see the world after this trip.

This is my first Lana concert, is the pit large? How many Silver VIP's would you guesstimate?

I went to the Dallas concert but it was cancelled :( So I called Live Nation and explained that I wasn't notified until May 30th, until then, we assumed it would be rescheduled. By that time, the Silver VIP's were sold out, so she said I could purchase Gold VIP packages and use a Live Nation VIP Pit for early entry. I have purchased both tickets, so they had better honor their word. I have call logs with dates and times of the conversations.

I explained to her that we do not wish to use our Gold VIP assigned seats, which by the way states on the order form that they are 1-12 rows back from the GA, but are actually 33 and 35 rows back, and I don't want a refund for those; I just want the early entry that I was promised into the Pit when I purchased the Gold Packages. I was told that this would be NO PROBLEM, and we would be escorted into the pit, maybe because of all the trouble we've been through with Dallas, not sure, but I have been in constant contact with them to make sure that they are going to honor what we were promised.

How did you get to meet her after the show last year? Was this at Aaron's at Lakewood like this year?

Thanks for any information, Hope to see you there!!! :)

We are staying at the Hilton. If you see a black SUV Benz, please flag us down,

We were really bummed that we didn't get to see Lana in Dallas, but we partied all night, flashed traffic from my sunroof while wearing our Mardi Gras masks, (Haha!) got wasted at the Hilton Anatole, told security to turn in their uniforms and leave the building until further notice LOL!!! OMG!!! I met a pilot for Southwest and I called him Christian Grey all night in the hotel bar!! We took selfies with Buddha!! Wild night, and thank goddess we recorded everything with our phones or we probably wouldn't have remembered!

Anyway, any information you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

    Kindest regards,

    MJ

Exactly!!! And I'm not an obnoxious person by any means, but when I called and purchased the Gold VIP Packages, I made it clear that I tried to purchase the Silver, and because of the waiting postponement and delayed cancellation of the Dallas concert, I was unable to be refunded, and was hoping for a rescheduled concert.

By that time, the Silver Packages were sold out and the only choice I had was Gold. I explained that we did not want to use the assigned seats, and asked if we could use our VIP Pit tickets instead and also be granted early entry, she said that would not be a problem. This was Live Nation that I had called and confirmed with when I purchased the tickets.

I talked to them yesterday, just to reconfirm what I was told last Thursday, and they asked me to send them an email explaining the situation. I did, and they sent an email back asking for the order numbers, names and so forth, and said they were going to help me with this matter. I even have the date and time of the call log if they want to listen to the recorded conversation where I was promised early entry and Pit with our Gold Package purchases.

My question to you is, how did they go about getting you from the pre show party, to the venue?

I know that Silver has stated that they are numbered, and walked into the venue in a single, file line... I was just curious how and when they escorted you to your spot, and how soon you arrived before Silver?

Again, thank you for your time and attention.

    Kindest regards,

    MJ

  5. @@kik They let the people who bought the Gold with pit tickets decide whether or not to keep that ticket, or trade it out with a seat. But since most of us bought the Gold ticket because it was the only VIP package with the pit (or at least it was during presale), we chose to keep the perks of Gold VIP with the pit. It definitely sucked for the Silver people who were waiting all day, but that was no reason to yell at the on-site hosts like some of them were doing. It was a mistake, and a fair amount of them were front row anyway. 'Twas a mess, but at least everyone got to see Lana up close and personal.

@@frankestrella Did you purchase your ticket through VIP Nation, or Live Nation? I bought mine through Live Nation and I can log into LN and see my tickets, but can't if I log into VN...

Also, I had VIP Pit to Dallas on May 9th, it was postponed due to weather. We were told our tickets would be valid when the concert was rescheduled, but unfortunately, I received an email on May 30th that it was cancelled. I found VIP Pit tickets for Atlanta June 14th concert, but since we didn't learn of the cancellation until such a late date, the Silver Packages were sold out. I was told by LN that if I purchased the Gold VIP Packages, we could use our VIP Pit tickets instead of the assigned seats that come with the Gold and also have early entry into the venue, even before Silver. Many are telling me this is untrue, I'm not a frequent concert goer, and I read about your experience and was hoping you could share with me how this worked. The lady I spoke with at LN on the phone told me that we would be escorted to the Pit area before Silver is granted access, can you tell me how long you were allowed entrance before they were please? Also, when did this occur? After the pre show party and merch viewing? Sorry for so many questions, just really excited, and kind of bummed that people are telling me that what I was told will not happen. Very confusing... Thanks in advance.

  6. @@nickloveslana There will only be one line.  All of the VIP ticketholders (bronze, silver, gold) will be in the same line as you until Natalie from VIP Nation comes around to find the VIP people.  At my concert, that happened around 3 PM.  Once she gives you a numbered wristband, you'll be free to leave the line and do whatever you want until it's time to come back and line up at the VIP area (that was 5 PM for me).  If you're 3rd in line, if the 2 people in front of you are VIP, then you'll end up being first!  Of course, the Silver VIP people will be admitted into the pit before you, so you may still end up 3rd of 4th row... depends on the size of your pit.

The Gold and Bronze VIP packages both have regular seats, so you'll only be competing with the Silver VIP pepole for the pit.

Whoops, slight correction, I said "once she gives YOU a numbered wristband..."  The numbered wristbands are given to the Silver VIP people.  You said you're not VIP, right?  You'll still get a pit wristband, but I don't think they're numbered.

  7. Sorry @@buster I worded that wrong...

****We didn't buy tickets on the 14th, we bought tickets for the concert that is to take place in Atlanta on June 14th****

We went to the Dallas concert on May 9th, and were told that it was postponed and our tickets for Dallas were still valid when it would be rescheduled, then on May 30th, I received an email stating it had been cancelled. Then, I purchased tickets for the Atlanta concert. I bought the VIP Pit from Live Nation, but by this time they were sold our of Silver, so I purchased Gold as well because I was told that we could use our Pit and still get early entry with our Gold package.

  8. @@Blue Jeans@@mjsmith033 What happened in Phoenix was an isolated incident. That was Ticketmaster/Live Nation's mixup. Ask @franestrella about this. They sold Gold Vip as pit. It was a big mixup and just awful.

@@mjsmith033 I was at the Dallas show and remember that Low T VIP place on the grounds. Did you have Silver there? If not, when did they let you go to the pit?

I was told that we had early entrance, but we didn't get there until 7:15 I think it was, we were only 4 miles or so away at the Hilton Anatole, but we didn't realize it would take so long to get there, plus we weren't prepared as we should have, that's why I'm trying to get everything in order for this trip beforehand. But yeah, my email for Dallas said: Early entry, VIP Lounge, Early merch viewing, Onsite host...similar to what these packages state.

  9. @@buster @@Blue Jeans I would have bought Silver VIP Packages but it was May 30th when I received an email about the cancellation of the Dallas show, until then from May 9th, we were told it was just postponed. I still have the email, (I was an accountant, title clerk and business owner for 12 years, so I have a habit of keeping records of any documentation as long as they seem necessary) the phone logs, with date and time of the conversations, and the names of the people I spoke with.

So, by the time I was informed about the Dallas cancellation, the Silver VIP Packages for Atlanta were sold out. I was told that by purchasing the two Gold VIP packages, and with my VIP Pit tickets, we would be allowed to enter the venue before Silver, this was on the 4th, the same day that I purchased the Gold Packages from Live Nation. I informed them that I did not want a refund for anything; I simply did not want to use the assigned seats that come with the Gold tickets. She said it wouldn't be a problem, and we would be able to enter the venue before Silver, and would be escorted to the Pit. She was very nice, and even laughed a little when I told her I didn't want to use the assigned seats. She said, "Oh, you have 2 tickets?" I said, "Yes, we both do, but we want to use our Pit tickets" and we both laughed.

Also, at the Dallas concert, I didn't purchase Silver or Gold as far as I know, I did pay 971.00 for two VIP Pit tickets so, it's possible I did. We 'were' told they were all access, though. There was a mix up with my tickets also, first I was sent the wrong seats but they were Vip, and was told that the correct tickets would be waiting at the venue, (I did receive my VIP parking pass) then while driving to Dallas, I received a phone call and was told my tickets would be delivered to my hotel the morning of the concert. Again, we received the wrong tickets, this time they WERE Pit, but not Vip, so I called and was told to ask for Morgan, and our names would be on her Vip list. We didn't get to the venue until 7:15 so we just walked right in, no lines by that time of course. But the VIP Lounge in Dallas was AWESOME!!!! There was a DJ, flat screens, 4 bars, air conditioned sections, sofas, strobe lights, fog machines...very club like. We literally parked about 12 feet from the Ice House VIP Lounge entrance.

We're not constant concert attendees, the last concert I saw was in 2004 and it was Kiss/Aerosmith, and before that was my daughter's 13th birthday in 1999 to see The BackStreet Boys.   Haha!!!

My children are finally grown, and have careers of their own, so now I'm finally able to do things for myself again. No more ballgames, cheer leading, ballet, karate...it's like a new world for me after all these years. So needless to say. this is all kind of new to me, and that is why I seek the advice of you experienced, hip, wise, Lana fans!!! I am a huge Lana Del Rey fan, and she's the only one I'll pay, or travel to go see. And you guys and given me so much knowledge about what to expect at a concert. Thank you all so much for being patient with me, I appreciate each and every one of you that has taken time to explain things.

    Next for me: Australia!!!  :)

@frankestrella What ever happened with the mix up? I read that it was their fault. but can you give me some details about what happened?

I was at the Dallas concert and drove 18 hours roundtrip with my childhood friend, I'm sure you've heard about what happened there :(

Anyway, they told us for weeks that it was postponed and our tickets were still valid, we had VIP Pit tickets, so we waited and waited and waited...finally on May 30th, i get an email stating that the Dallas concert has been cancelled and we would be refunded. I finally found VIP Pit tickets to the Atlanta concert which will be Sunday 14th, a 10 hr roundtrip, we're ok with that, but we wanted early entry so I got online to purchase Silver VIP Packages but they were all sold out. If we had known about the Dallas cancellation sooner, maybe we would have had time to purchase them,So I purchased 2 Gold VIP Packages and called Live Nation to make sure we could use these for early entry and still use our Pit tickets, she said that wouldn't be a problem...we didn't want the box seats that come with our Gold Packages, nor a refund, we just wanted to use our pit tickets. She chuckled and said sure, it would be fine since we had paid so much.

I'm just wondering how you got from the Gold lounge or show or whatever it is, and met up with the Silver to gain early entry? They all have me so confused and your situation sounds closer to ours than anyone else,

Please help...any information or light you can shed on this subject for me will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

  11. So we got Gold and they said we could go to the pit before silver so idk??? I'm so confused now...Maybe they feel sorry for us LOL, but they told me that and on the phone it said phone calls were recorded so I wonder if I can give them the time and date of the call and they can review it? It was June 4th, the day I bought them and that's why I paid 700.00 for those 2 packages because I was told that so I hope they honor it.

    1. Ok, sorry I'll try to explain. We bought VIP Pit tickets, not silver or gold, Then we decided we wanted early entry so we purchased the gold vip packages. I called Live Nation because the silver packages were sold out and they confirmed that even with the gold package, we can use our vip tickets and enter when the other gold members enter and are escorted to their vip box seats except we will be escorted to the pit. She also confirmed that we would enter before the silver package holders, I just wasn't sure how soon before we would get to enter before the silver package holders but I'll just call LN and ask because she said if I had any more questions to call any time.

  13. Hi everyone, I am home from the concert tonight! Here's my experience, hope this helps for future attendees lining up. BTW I had silver VIP

    Highlights

    - if you're lining up for the pit, split the regular and VIP lines early on

    - my guess is that there were around 70-90 silver VIP

    - I got a selfie with Lana! Life goal complete!!!

    - Lana accepted my gift!!!! It was a embroidered flag of a scene from Ride

Early line up for pit admission

I got there at 6am with @@Bae. I was #16 by the system made by the people that arrived first (they camped out from the day before). We had a mixed line of regular and VIP which was a mess. The venue staff came at 1pm and told all regular tickets to come out of the line, and line up in a different area. Of course everyone got up and rushed to the exit. So the regular tickets that had camped out all night were no longer in the first spots, I felt bad for them.

While lining up around noon (before the lines got split), 2 regular tickets came with their mom and tried to cut in line. Their argument was that there was empty space along the barricade, so they were entitled to bud the ~40 regular tickets and take that space. People tried to reason with them but they (mostly the mom) did not understand respect for others....

The VIP line got a little mixed up and the venue staff said that our number systems would not matter anymore. But we all agreed that we would stay in our number order, like civilized human beings.

3:30-4pm the VIP host came to give numbered wristbands. Then we could leave until 5pm to pick up the actual tickets

    Entering the Pit

We didn't get swag bags, since they will be shipped to us. Maybe this is because we're a Canadian location. Anyway I prefer this.

Then we lined up again in another area. Later the VIP host put everyone back in order, more waiting, then they lead us in single filed.

I was front row center! Just to the right of the mic and the stairs (which were in the middle of the stage). I tried to make space for myself along the barricade but every time I moved the smallest muscle, my space would shrink. Another VIP girl with number 50-ish was behind me (2nd row).

    Physical Experience in the Pit

I suggested to my neighbours that if anyone tried to get on the barricade from behind us, we would grab eachothers' arms. No one tried to get inbetween us! I was amazed. There was constant pressure on my back from the other people. A girl was kneeing me in the back of my knee, but I think it was not intentional. I ended up taking a wider stance and she ended up having a leg inbetween mine :S I'm 5'2" so I guess that was a good position for her to look right over my head.

When Lana came closer (to the steps or the other side of the barricade) the crowd would surge from sides and behind. When that happened, literally I have not felt so much force across my whole torso ever. I had a letter for Lana between me and the barricade, and I really had to fight to get the smallest gap to slide it out.

My brother who was in the second row, but ended up 3rd row said the concert felt like being in strong ocean currents.

I was holding my flag over the barricade, and a photographer came to take some photos of it. I felt very cool. He looked like Francesco but darker haired.

    My Concert Experience

Grimes- I was not into her music previously, but the energy she puts on just makes you feel like having fun. She's very entertaining, humble and spunky. She was very confident and delivered in her performance.

Lana (singing)- AMAZINGGGGG! She was gorgeous, confident, smiled a lot, really into it, vocally strong. I'm bad at remembering the set list, but no DR, UATW, YCBTB. She did the SK moan, and had that "I know you're all going to go crazy" look on her face, what a sweetie. She did come down the steps once but didn't really go towards the crowd. I don't remember her saying HM will be released in September, I heard her say "this year".

Lana (greeting fans)- She came down at the end with OTTR instrumental in the background. So I know there is a theory that she greets people on the her right side of the stairs, but she only went to her left. When she was 5 people away from me I was so nervous that she would for some reason go back or skip me (I'm skeptical and have low expectations to avoid let downs). I swear I saw her hair get caught on something, but it was quickly freed and she smiled as if we all knew that her hair was pulled last year in Toronto.

When she got to me, she looked me in the eyes and I could not say what I had rehearsed millions of times before. I think I said "I made this for you" about the flag I made. But I think I was really quiet because I was so shocked, and she couldn't hear. Also I didn't want to lean in to say it in case I got pushed forward or she likes her personal space. So we took a picture together!!!! I still cannot believe that this happened! She didn't take my gift because we had the misunderstanding. She moved on to greet others. I wasn't sure if I could give it to her so I motioned to the security guard infront of me to put my gift on the stage, but he gestured for me to give it to her (she was much further down at that point). When she came back to go up the steps again, I stuck out my flag and letter as far as I could. I think I had a crying face on at that point because I was so overwhelmed. She gave me a look of appreciation like "really, you are willing to giving this to me?" I nodded and she took it!!! Omg, what a Goddess indeed. I'm still in shock and can't believe this all happened!! I don't know how to add pictures, but you can see them on my Insta account "weekendirene"

But sadly a girl I knew from the line was taking a selfie with Lana, but because so many people were pushing, she couldn't get the photo. I feel really bad for her. And I don't understand why people in the back rows stick their arms out to take a really close up photo of Lana or take a photo of Lana and whoever she is taking a selfie with? Anyway, it was unfortunate and I just feel bad for her.

Hope you enjoyed the story of my experience!

  16. The sound checks at my venue were pretty early in the day.  We could hear them from outside, but they were done before even the gold VIP people got in.

The gift bag itself was a black bag with the Endless Summer tour picture on it, and it said "Lana Del Rey" above.  It also had, for lack of a better description, a roughly 3'x3' banner inside that also says "Lana Del Rey" and has the Endless Summer tour picture.  I tried to take a picture and post it, but the forum won't let me. :-/

I'm not 100% sure about the timing for Gold VIP.  Your best bet might be to start a new thread to see if anyone else here has done the Gold VIP to see what they did.  I'd imagine that you could arrive around 4:00 and ask one of the security people where the Gold VIP people line up.  Natalie will be around there somewhere and will make sure you get your wristband.  Also, a couple of days before the show, you'll get an e-mail from Live Nation which will include Natalie's cell number.  You can call or text her if you're unsure (but only the day of, as specified in the e-mail you'll get).

Thank you so much!!! You're information and responses are greatly appreciated.

How do I start a thread? I'm sorry...just new to this.
