  1. gagging at the rush of posting that info first
  2. She says she "couldn't leave anything out" mind so CWIMM is probably on it
  3. 18 tracks as of here http://www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/article/40073561/lana-del-rey-on-her-new-album-im-in-a-good-mood
  4. the album is likely finished, but I'd say the push-back is due to several other big releases, who knows maybe even adding material due to the minimal reaction to a collab with one of the world's biggest stars right now.
  5. I'm not sure what to think. On one hand, I really can't see it NOT being released on Friday, but on the other hand, how would a surprise date stop a leak from happening? Surely hackers would be on the prowl anyway?
  6. MY HEART that laugh is probably the reason why she gets away with the lack of promo she does, her label probably comes to her fuming about to tell her how she bout to be dropped and then she giggles and they just can't stay mad at ha
  7. ? the song as a whole is lazy lol I don't see what that has to do with the things you mentioned that I never touched on
  8. I didn't mention lyrics, nor the song Honeymoon, nor any song off Honeymoon, and I also said my opinion on this one song hasn't changed my excitement for the new album so I don't know what issue you're taking with my opinion lmao
  9. this is one of only four Lana songs that I don't like - Dark Paradise, Bel Air, Guns & Roses, and now this. This will be deleted from my iTunes library when the album comes out. It sounds so cheap, linear, undynamic and lazy. Not a big deal though, I await the album with the same verve.
  10. she releases albums at a rate that only Rihanna can beat, we are spoiled, the album is imminent, she doesn't care about chart success and this has been obvious for the past three album cycles, accept it and luh yourselves
  11. I'm gonna throw up FUCK MY BUSSY WITH A RAKE MOM YAAAAAAS WERRRRK somebody call me an ambulance
  12. Lana's in Dazed 4/20 interviewed by Courtney Love! https://instagram.com/p/BS1OJ9BFgXZ/
  13. y'all will never be happy lol. as long as the music and the visuals, both of which are what made me fall in love with her as an artist, and both of which can probably be more or less funded with BTD's sales till the end of time (it's a zeitgeist album that went and goes beyond the standom, look how long it charted for, years), I'm happy. girl always delivers, people's expectations are what garners any disappointment. (I really want her to do a music video with Steven Klein tho)
  14. I rated all of the songs and came up with an average overall score of 7.5/10, it's definitely my least favourite out of her releases so far excluding AKA. It's solid, but the only song that wowed me was MTWB, and the other highlights are TLY, Freak, The Blackest Day and Swan Song. It seems unfocused, less cohesive as a body of work. The production is the standout aspect of the record, but melodically it's actually quite weak I think. It'll keep me going until the next one though.
  15. what's the highest quality we have? Anything under 256k isn't HQ
  16. Can someone PM me a link of the full HQ album? Every three seconds without Honeymon a twink dies of thirst so save a twink today x
  17. I don't get the lukewarm response, it really is exquisite. I especially like the little satellite noises in the mix. It's very subtle. People complained about the brass in the chorus being too brief, but I kind of liked that, as though the song suddenly tuned in to some jazz station in another galaxy, it's like Lana said, it's "jazzy" not jazz, it verges on jazz in its influences, maybe only superficially, but I think that reflects the mood: driving in the dark listening to the radio, constantly changing channel to find something to listen to, but nothing quite fits or stays for long, the jazz influence is there but ephemeral, which by extension fits the theme of death if the theory involving Bowie's brother is true.
  18. I think so too, if I had been in the studio I would have just suggested following it up with an extra word or line to rhyme with the "too", like "dark blue"
  19. Hahaha, "stranger than a stranger" is kind of a cute play on words though! :3
  20. Also I really enjoy Freak, but the one thing that reeeeally annoys me is the "too" in "like me too", it's redundant because she's already said "like" to infer the meaning, plus it would rhyme with "leave" and "freak" better and thus sound less clumsy. Only proper criticism of that song I have though, I'm such a grammar nazi.
  21. I do like it, the chorus is lovely and the best part of the song it's just unfortunate (and my own fault really for lurking before listening ) that I had a completely different expectation for the song, it's much slower than I thought it would be and so many people were like "career highlight!" The only song I really disliked was Art Deco, utterly forgettable to me! (INB4 the HQ slays me lel)
  22. Caved and listened... I'm not disappointed, it's certainly going to tithe me over until the next release, and of course I haven't heard it in HQ (even from the LQ recordings the production is demonstrably beautiful), but none of the songs apart from The Blackest Day really grabbed me. This is subject to change though, it may very well be a grower of an album, it's just that her previous records were always immediate to me, particularly in a melodic sense, whereas with these, whilst sounding beautiful, come and then are gone. It's alarming how the bulk of the album seems to be filler. The most consistently good parts of the songs are the bridges, I kinda wish they had been used as the verses, which as they are are very monotone. I'm not gonna listen again until we get HQ though. PS Salvatore was a complete let-down, y'all hyped me something awful! favourite songs as of now: -MTWBT -Blackest Day
