She said in one of those radio interviews today that she had written notes/lyrics lines for Sylvia/hope for years until she found a way to make a song of them.

Also, she mentioned wanting to release a “serious, not a fun” song in October. I think she meant Sylvia, renamed it and released it in January instead.

I'm not really sure, I'll probably have to think about it more, but I have a theory that the imagery of the album was meant to just stay like the homemade videos, phone selfies, instabaddie shots because to me its always seemed this album was a very personal, current and reflective album of the time world she's experiencing. Does that make sense? I think the UO cover fits into the same aesthetic style of the snippet videos she would put out, or the random home video music videos and selfies, the music itself is quite folky for Lana, even the poetry book stuff all seemed to be interconnected. It was like she was just creating a literal reflection of her life atm. And I think that kinda fits the album, I've said this before but I heard someone describe the album as (not perfect quote so don't @ me) "NFR is a representation of living in a time where the personal choices you make don't have an impact on the greater cultural significance of the world right now" and thinking of that along with the aesthetic of her homemade videos and phone photo cover arts, the UO cover looks like it's meant to just be a representation of Lana and where she is in her world atm (which seems to be hanging out on walls in all black with her girl squad lol) 

 

Does any of this make sense? In my mind it makes sense but I could also just be crazy, someone else try make sense of this pls

Mm, I just hope they get here soon. It'll be like a moment of validating the waiting we've been having to do since last year. Like, tangibly. They're just so beautiful ah - both covers. 

 

and I actually haven't read that post mentioning the choices that one makes doesn't have to make an impact, so that's a new stream of thoughts to get into. I know there were parts of her walking around that area with some seemingly witchy stuff, the cartoon Bambi n birds. Right now, I'm thinking more of how it's like a state of mind than anything else..like needing to heal yourself? Definitely, I think her aesthetic for this record is a lot more laid back, if u think of the earlier vids that we got, but I guess after the video's we've been getting recently, I'm thinking more of it just being a day in the life of where she is now. When you think about it, a lot of things blossomed w the making of this record, from how originally it was just a group sad girl love songs. I think the main contrast for this rollout is gonna be between that, of having intimate moments just between her and beau, managing the fame that they're living out in public and balancing that. I honestly don't really know for sure atm either, but I'm willing to see what she's gonna be putting out the next few weeks. DT's video had an element of magic to it, if anything, and double video had supernatural, angel of death vibes to em, so we'll just have to happily see lol.
