anwdelrey Posted September 9, 2020 Posted September 9, 2020 Unpopular opinion but I'm hoping she continues to slowly roll out this album cycle (interviews, teasers, etc.) because I don't think the album will do well if she just randomly drops it. I kind of want her to continue her 100k streak. 1

Honestly, I'm still bitter that she never released a collection of her unreleased songs, demos, alternate versions, etc! I figured since no one is touring this year and likely won't be touring anytime soon, I figured they'd try to recoup some of that money and put out an official collection with her unreleased work! Obviously I understand her not doing it now during the COCC/Violet era, but it would be something to do in the future. I hate having all of the unreleased tracks scattered around YouTube and dbree. I'd rather just have an official release from her, like a 4-CD boxed set or something where she hand picks the tracks, etc. Songs like "When I'm With You" and "You & Me" are just a few of the gems that I really really like. So I really hope that her releasing the unreleased back catalog isn't totally off the table. I have no doubt that it would sell very well and we've been asking for this for ages! While I understand that she may not like some of the songs and have personal concerns that may prevent her from including certain tracks, she could just hand-pick her favorites. I'd gladly fork over whatever money they wanted as long as it includes tracks from the pre-LDR eras as well! My understanding is that she and Rob bought back the rights to everything, so it shouldn't be an issue of not being able to release it, but correct me if I'm wrong! 3

Considering how uncertain she sounded in the interview, I'd rather her take time to put out another great album rather than just drop it. I'd be happy if she released LMLYLAW and then the album in a couple of months. 3
