ilovetati Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 The aesthetic will be 90s grunge/Mazzy Star and I'll accept nothing else. 6
americangothic Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 I hope she uses capital letters in the titles, I'm SO over the all-lowercase songtitles in the music industry in general. It looks predictable and cringy at this point. 14
lustforlife Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 shw wont bring a cohesive concept. stop to full urself lol 4 Lust For Dead

motomami Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 “driving in car with boys” easily fits with the whole vibe of the album
ShadesOfFool Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 It’s cute you guys think there will even be an aesthetic to the album 10 let's be real, all you bitches wanna look like me
Foxglove Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 It’s cute you guys think there will even be an aesthetic to the album this. imagine less coherent than Lust for life and more messy than Norman fucking rockwell 5
americangothic Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Honeymoon was the last — and in my personal opinion the most — cohesive record asthetically and sonically wise. So much for a so called 'vanity' project as she refers to it. 12
Veinsineon Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Just remembered we never saw that photo shoot with those Dalmations and Steven 2
West Coast Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 There are already two things I'm sure about this record: 1. There won't be a clear "aesthetic". 2. Whatever Lana says about how the album is going to be like sonically, it's going to sound nothing like what she described. 13

She truly is ADHD and when she talks about what the record sounds like, it's the songs she is working at the moment. It's never totally false, but clearly not that precise either lol. 4
West Coast Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 She truly is ADHD and when she talks about what the record sounds like, it's the songs she is working at the moment. It's never totally false, but clearly not that precise either lol. I think she just can't really capture her own sound in her own words sometimes. Just going by examples: when she said we'd hear the 'Born To Die' strings on 'Ultraviolence', but that ended up just being on the title track. Or that 'Honeymoon' would be this jazzy album with a touch of "soft grunge", but it ended up being this very cinematic record mixed with trap beats (with some jazz-y influences, but still not the golden era of jazz album she initially described). Or when she said we'd hear a lot of 60s pop/Shangri Las influences on 'Lust for Life' but besides some light instrumentation and the doo wop doo wop on the title track and on 'Get Free' the record was nothing like that. Now with 'NFR!', sis said the album would be reminiscent of Red Hot Chili Peppers... that was just straight up wrong. 13
mkultraviolence Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 i think she's going to continue with the institution imagery and will reference many famous females throughout the album 6

Liz Taylor Blues Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 I think there's a high chance it's finally her folk album 3
