It was taken earlier. Born To Die's album cover was taken on July 22, 2011!

That’s my point! Lana sported the same exact eyebrows and hair on july 2011 which made me think this was filmed on july but uploaded on oct (oct photos of lana doesnt resemble the performance’s look)…

I think you’re onto something, but just a few days before then! I conducted a little Lanailysis and here’s what I found…

In the BTD album shoot taken on July 22nd her nails were pink, but two days earlier on the 20th during her photoshoot with NME her nails were the same blue with white flower designs as seen in this performance video. Before that, she last did a photoshoot on June 11th where her nails were a different shade of blue and without the white flowers (which were drawn on her ring finger on both hands), which narrows this performance closer to July. Also, on October 10th which is the day this performance was originally said to be from, she also had a photoshoot where her nails had black tips. The next day, she had a performance where her nails still had black tips, so she didn’t get them redone between those days. Before these October dates, the last time we saw her was at Glasslands where her nails were also blue, but with a different design than in the video.

So, I conclude that this performance took place sometime in July up until the 21st or 22nd when her nails were redone for the BTD cover shoot. It is also possible that she did this performance, got her nails redone, and then did the BTD shoot all in one day, but it doesn’t seem likely for all of that to get done in just one day. I think it’s more likely she did this a couple days prior. I’ll update the title to reflect this! Xx

@Elle when i typed my analysis (b4 u quoted), this picture came in mind: 

 

which u made me more confident in thinking that these two events occurred in the same day..! Look at those eyebrows.

 

 

btw talking about eyebrows, i really loved that sperm-shaped brows she had in 2010 and summer 2016 (love mv and july 17 2016)

I think that could very much be the case! The hair & makeup look the same and it even looks like she’s wearing the same earrings & cross necklace x

Cant help but think of that when i first saw them… i genuinely love it and once applied it last year… didn’t get warm reception though
