The version Sophie played live has an abrupt ending too  and its pretty much easy to fix an abrupt ending in Audacity. We also know that some Sophie songs ends like that

There’s a recording of when SOPHIE played it live but her equipment seems to malfunction and her set goes quiet during the intro. However, gets loud again during the song.
 

 

the song also finished on “in the rain, in the”  which seems to be abrupt but this is how the song ends.
