Idgaf if the whole Brat thing has been run into the ground. I love seeing Charli get this huge moment with a bunch of overexposure. Brat becoming so big that they’re using it as promo for a presidential campaign with it being discussed on CNN and Fox News is very funny to me. It’s obvs very corny but it’s cool to see her get this type of moment that’s so huge and will leave an impact and will never be able to be recreated (though many will try). Many of us on here have always seen Charli’s greatness, and now the rest of the world’s catching up.
 
I think a lot of people are taking a lot of Brat-related stuff way too seriously when it’s all been the full opposite of serious. Like how people were losing their minds over her tweeting “kamala IS brat”. Her troll-y tweet that she probs didn’t even think twice about creating all this discourse and blowing up the way it did is Very funny. It’s amazing to me how she managed to create this huge moment in pop culture.

One night I fell asleep with that album playing, and I woke up in the middle of the night to the most angelic vocalizing I've ever heard in a song..... this was shortly after the album surfaced online, so I didn't know all the songs very well yet. It was A Star for Nick - the middle of the song where she's just vocalizing... half-asleep I was just like IS THERE AN ANGEL VISITING ME AT 3AM???!?

I listened to the song and it’s cute, regular, fine. Nothing special but also really not awful like most people are saying.. & it’s 100% on brand for Katy so I really don’t understand the hate train aside from Luke’s involvement. I’m still looking forward to the album.

Can the fandom agree to start begging Charli to release make you mine now ? 

The brat thing is so bizarre- she really turned it into a pop culture staple in history- I just don’t understand how it keeps getting bigger as a concept unrelated to the album 
 
It’s not like the album is cranking out 10 number 1s but somehow you’ve got designers ripping off the cover left, right and centre and it’s bizarrely lodged into a political campaign.

I'd like to take a second here to highlight that it's not just Reddit. Something I've seen in stan discourse constantly is that people will point to Reddit, or Discord, or Twitter, or sites like Lanaboards, and strum this chord of "Oh, well, those fans over there...." and try to create this distance and distinction, when....a lot of the same people are in the same spots and places, having the same conversations. I'm here. I'm also on Reddit. I'm also in the Discord. I'm also on Twitter. One site or place might spark the conversation first, sure, but the discourse eventually ends up in all corners. The conversation might be shaped a little different due to each site or medium's formatting and method of facilitation, but in the case of the Charli Reddit - I don't see any conversations happening there or opinions shared that also aren't paralleling some peoples thoughts here. 

Charli isn’t perfect and we shouldn’t put her on a pedestal, but like, what is the goal here?
 
why is all this energy on Charli’s (very limited) association with dasha rather than say, her being silent during the most recent uk general election? she could have made a (perhaps small, but not insignificant) difference to the world by encouraging fans to register to vote.* (especially as certain parties want to ban conversion therapy and others are dragging their feet)
 
what do people even want? for Charli just to say ‘dasha is a horrible person and I don’t agree with what she does’? what would that even change? it won’t change dasha’s mind that’s for sure.
 
*(also for the record I’m not saying charli HAD to do this or needs to be cancelled for not doing this, I’m just using it as an example of the double standard)
