Mista Midnight Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Which one would you want another part to if she ever decided to revisit an era? 0 Quote
alexandro Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Ultraviolence definitely. Or maybe Lust For Life if she serves a full album of 2nd half realness. 8 Quote

TROPICUM Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 born to die. tho if it were about the songs, def UV. 0 Quote ???, ?????????
Elle Posted September 11, 2017 Posted September 11, 2017 Visually, Born to Die. Loved the whole aesthetic.. big hair, lush music videos, overall super Hollywood glamour. Sonically, Ultraviolence, of course! I really miss the heavy guitars & overall live-band sound with jazz influences. Would love to see those two eras combined somehow. 14 Quote • 4.18.14 • 5.1.14 • 9.20.14 • 5.28.15 • 6.14.15 • 7.28.16 • 7.24.17 • 10.23.17 • 10.24.17 • 1.25.18 • 2.5.18 • 12.5.18 • 10.3.19 • 10.11.19 • 11.16.19 • 8.6.23 • 9.21.23 • 10.1.23 • 5.17.24 • 5.19.24 • SF • ATL • ATL • IND • ATL • CHI • LDN • NYC • NYC • DC • ATL • NYC • PDX • SAN • KS • CHI • AL • MD • AL • AL

Thunder Revenant Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Ultraviolence - rock Lana is the best Lana and she should further explore this sound. Heroin definitly has this violent, hot l feeling a lot of UV tracks had and Cherry is a bit reminiscent of Pretty When You Cry's emotional rawness. The more rock-ish live versions of some of her tracks are bliss aswell. So yeah, UV is definitly a sound she should revisit for another album. Not in a 2.0 kind of way, but more as a more grown and mature approach to that sound. 8 Quote Just do it. Just do it - don't wait!
WildMustang Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 UV for obvious reasons.. But BTD as well cause I like the playful lyrics and the swag/cool music 2 Quote ...just you and me feeling the heat even when the sun goes down...
Terrence Loves Me Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 UV but i wanna say HM too 0 Quote
Flowerbomb Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Ultraviolence It would be cool if she covered a Nirvana song. And also if she went for a heavier sound with more daring lyrics. 3 Quote
bigspender Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 maybe honeymoon so i dont hate the era that much 0 Quote
NamiraWilhelm Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Aka of course That surf noir Hawaiian glam sad party sound she went for, but matured as she has. That is the album we want 4 Quote
Melania Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 paradise but i'd also be fine with a lust for life part 2, the album is everything i thought it would be &more 4 Quote
bluekilos Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 deffo b2d; she was the closest to her past and still dreaming of the future. like it was the same era she recorded some unreleased songs and, theyre all amazing. she should do that. 2 Quote
ednafrau Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Definitely AKA. She was at her most experimental there, both profound and playful, free and unencumbered by expectations of a certain style or genre. I'd like to hear her creating from that inner space again, playing with words and sounds and themes. Since she no longer has the impunity that anonymity grants (pun intended), you'd think it would never be possible again, but maybe she is at a level of fame now - past so much scrutiny - that she's free again, almost beyond reproach, so she could very well truly do whatever she wants now. I'm really curious what music she'd make with David Kahne or Steven Mertens now 5 Quote
