This was such a pleasant surprise :flutter: I actually preferred Did you know that there's a tunnel under Ocean Blvd as a lead single, but considering the style, I like this one much more than some of her previous forays into country. I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned it, but even though the arrangements are gorgeous and elevate the song, it kinda feels like they were added later over a more intimate demo vocal, and you can kind of tell.

Love your user name. I agree that all of the instrumentals were added later. I can't hear a word she's saying on the chorus, and that's a major tell. Even on the bridge when she says 'settle down type', it's two quiet.

As for which track is better, I couldn't possibly choose between this or OB. .They're both on the same level - it's just that one is very light, and the other one is dark.

Only Lana could turn the myth of Icarus into a beautiful western ballad about a guy called Henry

Reaction on X seems mostly positive. A lot of raves.

Some are complaining it's boring. (Now we know where all those Tough streams are coming from (it just outstreamed Carmen on Spotify))

But who cares. The song is breaking streaming records in my house.

WOW WOW WOW. I'm in love. I didn't expect this to be so good, especially after the few things the insiders said...but it's gorgeous, a mix of orchestra and folk influence, and all the wait was worth this :legend::oprah:

I think this is the richest mix of musical instruments she uses.

I can't help but smile whenever the outro plays out it's too beautiful

I like the bridge as well. Short but mighty. And the line about 'settle down type' is just so lana.

First of all, I'm in love with this song OMGGGGGGGG!!!!

But it's kinda sad Jack Antonoff didn't participate in this track. It's fantastic, though, and I would love to see him produce some songs on the album. Does anybody know anything about that?????

It’s gorgeous, of course, but I hope the whole album isn’t like this. I loved Ocean Blvd, but I was really hoping for a bigger departure from the Chemtrails/BB/Blvd sound.

It’s not about having someone to love me anymore

This is the experience of being an American whore

It’s absolutely better than I thought it would be. I’ve said before but I never find Lana’s “first singles” to be the bigger, more played, more remembered songs of her album. It’s almost always the single right before release.
