There’s always going to be room for criticism in every output, and I don’t think anyone’s trying to devalue your fandom, @Chorli Xbox—but I do think you’re going to be met with really strong reactions in the first few hours after a release, where a lot of fans are still super excited about new music, and that excitement can turn into defensiveness as we all process the new song and figure out our own thoughts about it. 
 

You’re allowed to have your opinions, but right now the energy is high and any nuanced critical conversation will just devolve into sassiness.

I really hope fans will one day stop being forced to listen to and talk about artists they used to love but now hate. It's a big world out there, and there is more music than was ever imagined, all available to listen to for nothing. Life's too short to seek out disappointment.

BUT what I don't get is all the surprised faces that Lana released a country-esque song  it's a simple song  it's building off the sound she's been using since 2021 (arguably 2019 but imo NFR is different)  it's not BTD/Jealous Girl/National Anthem Demo the tiktok fans love  like Lana literally told us she was going country last year, dropped this snippet and said this album will be a lot more simple songs/Americana, like what did you guys expect (when I say you guys I'm mainly referring to the tiktok fans who are mad at this release)

ur so right. also its probably been longer then 2021 even if you half back to sirens, and young like me,  and what she was doing around the mid 2000s,, shes always loved this simple lyric heavy work. the simplicity of her new life with jeremy is leading to the beauty of her true vulnerability being brought back to life

i feel like after the trap goddess of btd she started to VERY SLOWLY scale it back. she jump started it a lil in ocean blvd but rn I think shes in a sweet spot that's shes very happy in.

Not Hyperpop, But imagine Lana on a song like:

I wonder if it's going to be track 1 or track 2 on The Right Person Will Stay. Or 3rd. I definitely think it's going to be on Side A. The last "hey" in the song feel uncomplete in a way that it indicates that there's going to be a next spiritual chapter for the song.
