  2. Hate to be that guy, but I just made my first earlier this year. Still room for improvement, but I'd be happy to hear thoughts on it. https://vimeo.com/181551438
  3. Somebody, please get info about whether or not that Criterion of her videos is really happening...
  4. Don't get too excited. Although, this is, like, the fourth time its been rumored that Criterion is working on a release with her videos. It's still up in the air if it's valid, or not. Nothing from the actual Criterion team has been said. Still odd that so many anonymous posters on BluRay.com, Criterion, CriterionForum, etc. are insisting they know it's happening, though. If it does, great. If not, boo. What I find most interesting about this particular post is the "album being released in 2016" thing.
  5. Hmm... https://www.reddit.com/r/criterion/comments/5aoanq/lana_del_rey_videography_coming_in_may/ I know this could all be bullshit, but I find it weird that a random troll would find humor out of this. What is there to gain? Plus, it seems coincidental mentioning an album coming before the end of the year. Still sitting on the skeptical side, but a lot of this is truly bizarre; especially considering the consistency across the board with these rumors.

  7. Like I said, I don't just think it's the best of the American Horror Story miniseries, so far - but it's probably my favorite singular miniseries ever (that isn't Mike Nichols' Angels in America, or Ingmar Bergman's Scenes from a Marriage).
  8. I said I was going to do a write-up on Hotel. Don't say I didn't warn you. It's pretty lengthy. Sorry for any spelling/grammar errors; of which I'll fix when I return to read some replies.
  9. You're good! I get ya. Hotel really just appeals to a lot of my interests. It's over-the-top, visually stimulating, has neon colors and 80s New Wave music, sex equated to death, fluid sexuality, weird setpieces, and camp. So it was tailor-made for me to adore it.
  10. I may be alone on this, but... Hotel >>>>>>>>>>>> Murder House >> Asylum >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Coven>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Freak Show I'm going to put together an essay soon on Hotel. Because, I shit you not, I think it's one of the best "miniseries" in the past fifteen or so years.
  11. I do keep going. It's my one true hobby on all fronts. Film, in general. I've considered L.A., but have decided to move to the Seattle area in the next two or so years. My fiancé and I both LOVED it there. Plus, you just hop on the interstate to go to either L.A., Portland, or Vancouver - all very arts heavy. Thanks for the kind words, and giving it a go. It's been my least watched film thus far, but that may because of what it's about. Haha
  12. Did anybody else notice that the opening of "24" is the same as the opening strings of "Honeymoon"? Someone online pointed that out and I'm, like, "how did I not figure that out?"
  13. I have days where I really think "Flipside" may be the best song she's ever done. But then, I kinda snap out of it. But it happens very often. Also, the only Lana song I've outright hated from her official releases was "Lolita", but since it's a bonus track, it fortunately doesn't devalue that impeccable album. That song is a serious headache - loud and obnoxious without any bop to it. Sounds like an imitation sausage version of "Toxic".
  14. I heard "Wonderful Summer" because of my grandma years ago. I adore it so freaking much, and always will. It reminds me of her. "These Days" is just so perfect. That guitar, and then her voice together. So clashing, but so suited to one another. It's an amazing feat. Also glad you're a fan of Lesley Gore, Kate Bush, and the Shangri-Las. <3
  15. #136. I misspelled her name in the post. Oh no, no, no. I coulda gone onto 200 if I was frisky enough.

  17. Subjective of course. But this is pretty definite on my favorites. A mixture of my favorite classics, to my favorite contemporaries. Enjoy!
  18. I had a friend tell me "Summertime Sadness" was about a friend who died in a car crash. Legitimate, or B.S.?
  19. I always just assumed she took it from that 1984 Ford Spanish car that she used the logo in with her homemade montage work; considering her recurring theme of cars.
