Salvatore is such a great song when u look at its best moments, the intro gives me chills and I love the bridge and parts of the instrumental ('all the lights in miami begin to gleam' is one of my fav lines on hm) but the whole song just drags on and on forever with little to no dynamic elements. If u take btd (track) u also have these really slow verses but it manages to not sound as monotone as Salvatore does. Also can Lana please ditch these 'vintage mix' effects finally .. we've had enough of this on uv and hm.

this is a mess is she joking. her v magazine article should have been cancelled the minute this photoshoot took place. how is it possible to have not a single good shot.

if u like her music then ur not gonna like it less in june i guess. ofc i'm annoyed that they postponed it again but as soon as they were rumours of it being pushed back i knew they weren't gonna pull through in february, her half assed "i have NOO idea where they got these dates from but we are still gonna change some stuff so it might get delayed again" kinda confirmed that they are gonna postpone it again tbh. warner is really messing with her potential break though, when did this whole "we need good first week sales for this artists debut album" come from? i'm sure the label didn't care about good first week sales when the fame or btd came out, especially as a newcomer ur more likely to gather fans when u have an album out rather than live off these short lived single cycle they're putting her through. yeah her twitter stans are unbelievable sometimes.. i especially love those who whine about not seeing her for 2 months or smth.

i love adele and can't wait to see her in london (ayy i got tickets after 2 failed attempts) but i hate 21 i don't think i've ever listened to it from beginning to end

It wouldn't be that bad if they would just postpone it but i have a feeling warner wants to change some stuff about it, not in a good way. What annoyed me about dua is that wenever she get's recognition for smth her whole aesthetic is rebuild to fit around the project that put some spotlight on her. this debut album is such a clash of 5 different aesthetics, we get "indie alternate pop dua" how warner tried to debut her with new love, be the one and the look she used to have during her debut, then hotter than hell is this tropical pure pop thing which could've easily been sold to any current pop act, then blow your mind and thinkin bout you which are kind of this 00s bops with a modern twist to them (whoa nelly inspiration coming thru). this record is gonna be less cohesive than unapologetic. imagine if they add some dancefloor bops now bc no lie and that dj collaboration seem to work rn, these diplo and calvin harris collabs are coming thru!! (jk it's probably gonna be some flop like alessia clara or whatever).

that could happen if she answered woodkid's text but he probably gave up on her already which is a shame bc i didn't like their video games duet but i'm sure they could do smth where they kinda "meet halfway" between both of their aesthetics. i can't say anything about the trap thing but considering how muddy the beats sound and that they don't sound as rock-y as the ultraviolence ones she couldn't just say muddy bc everyone would expect smth along the lines of uv so she went with trap which can be very pop nowadays anyway. it would be great if it's true that the label stands behind lana for the upcoming era because that would mean that lana has way more possibilities considering that the label usually has to approve and pay for whatever lana comes up with. comparing hello and lana is kinda meh bc on one hand adele is adele and she could have delivered a make you feel my love pt II and it would have been a hit considering HOW anticipated 25 was. the hype around the hello release just helped to hype the whole project even more. on the other though, hello sounds very lana-like (emile even lend adele his iconic loon) but i doubt that she'd go for such a bold sound nowadays, ldr5 is probably gonna sound more like when we were young.

@graham obviously some festival will book her if she's up to it but I mean it's off putting for the festivals if they have a headliner that doesn't allow them to record or air any part of their performance. Considering we did get some radio and tv rips from the btd and paradise era it's kinda ironic how she doesn't allow it anymore now that she's commercially less successful than she was during btd but okay work girl.

her label seemed fine for the february release tho so i really don't know why she's pushing these collaborations so hard. if she wants them so badly she should have released the album in 4 weeks and then do a rerelease during fall with like 5 or 6 more songs since she already said she has so many songs to choose from.

it's not just the interviewers fault, things leak this way and this isn't the first song to do and won't be the last. everyone should know that getting smth and sending it to someone is dangerous, from interviewer to the person who uploaded it in the end. if they woulnd't have done it someone else would have within 2 weeks now that the song got some more attention lately. also there's two versions of want to and both are whack. ditch that last dance 2.0 already omg what JVSPER is dualetly?

nvmd if someone wants a link for that thinkin bout you remix dm me

ok but where is the album sampler who leaked it or smth?

i feel like the concept on hm and tly is pretty similar but tly is way better executed. i can understand how someone can dislike it though since it's pretty slow and "uneventful" so it can seem boring in the context of hm. i just listened to hm and it's so weird how art deco is a standout track for so many on here but when you place art deco next to any other lana album it doesn't seem like a stand out track anymore. this pretty much shows why so many people say hm is the "most boring one". it's not bad but it's rather luke warm only.

ss was her biggest radio success in some european countries and it was the last single on btd. i've heard wc (the radio mix) a couple of times. the radio mixes were a perfect thing for her, they were still very lana (mostly just more boppy versions of her songs) that ensured that she got some attention by casual listeners.
-
bc unlike the popular opinion it's not rick's fault that hm was a snooz but rather lana's. wait for life shows that lana kinda lacks some new interesting inspiration tbh. i feel like her btd songs had much more interesting different ideas (nabokov, her own love life, elvis, some dark death stuff... ) that were all puzzled together into a greater picture and the other stuff is pretty much just her, singing about love but with a much more boring narration.

its Track 2 on Spotify and has its own single on itunes. who came up with the idea to use the album cover as the single cover for 2 singles in a row now?
-
They should send the decco remix to radios so she can get another hit (a ss situation but the bridge is better though)
