saying this is hitler’s vision of the balkan for the current day situation is like saying the existence and borders of the czech republic, slowakia and poland are stalin’s vision of central europe.

i don’t think that’s a very good comparison because their situation is and was so different that it’s almost hard to compare these two except for the fact that it’s a conflict of independence and between two countries and has something to do with territorial, ethical or autonomous claims of independence.Kosovo is more like Taiwan in that regard but even that is a very bad comparison.

Serbia won’t be able to join the EU as long as the Kosovo conflict exists, the EU-counties don’t even agree on Kosovo and it’s unlikely they’ll reach a consensus before Serbia does, it’s kind of a North Macedonia issue but without one part of it in the EU already. The only exception is Cyprus and that’s only because there’s little to no chance of any EU member ever acknowledging Northern Cyprus as legitimate. while yeah dua lives in the uk i doubt their politics have much to do with this. with her being part of the balkan diaspora it doesn’t surprise me that she’s very “connected” to her ancestral home but yeah whatever concept of “greater” *any south eastern european country* is kind of a bit of a messy concept and shouldnt have been posted by her, there’s other ways to support kosovo if she wants to do that (which she obviously seems to be trying to achieve)

how is this relevant especially considering neither Serbia nor Kosovo have any chance of joining the EU anytme soon

Serbia becoming independent from Yugoslavia is like England becoming independent from the United Kingdom also Albania x Kosovo is an issue that also resulted from neither of them being independent pre Yugoslavia but being part of the Ottoman Empire but in the end Albania didn’t join Yugoslavia while Serbia (and Montenegro i think?) “secured” Kosovo which was part of it in the middle ages. Setting and shifting borders is always an incredible messy and complex undertaking and usually results in another conflict.

i mean ex-yugoslavia is messy regardless of what she says and almost everyone from there is gonna have a controversial take on it or two.. to some the mere existence of a country/state and their name is controversial alone let alone their borders

double disc could be two of the (as far as we know) four vinyls paired together or just CD (disc one) and a vinyl (second disc), similar to how the analog bundle will most likely consist of a vinyl and a cassette.

why do u guys want cocc and violet bundles they're projects that probably don't even relate to one another (except in the way that in which all lana projects are related through lana's involvement obviously). also i would have rather they'd push cocc like this and not this poetry book making everyone stack preorder on preorder cannibalising our wallets just for cocc to get announced and out when we're all broke and over the entire mass orders (for a cute month or two)

all of her albums are on her store they're just unlisted sometimes because they keep popping up and off every now and then on another note they haven't even fixed the wrong btd cover since 2012

put it in my basket to see what the expected delivery date is for the paperback and it's october 12th but it's not listed as a release date unlike the hardcover which has the same september date as everywhere else, so i wouldn't count on it coming in october it might just be amazon putting something there and delaying it until they get a release date from the publisher.

i'm sure it's gonna get sold on Amazon worldwide but as with every release the preorders don't roll out internationally at the same time.

i know she‘s not dutch but she should just rename herself to Lana van Rey to keep the meaning of del Rey which was discussed to desth on this board countless times already
