i have two theories for Taco Track x VB: either the song is going to turn into this part of Venice Bitch and that’s the epic outro of the album, though it will be different lol it won’t be a copy and paste or, this one is less likely and more just something i think would be cool because i love this line and the melody, “if you weren’t mind i’d be jealous of your love” is going to be the chorus of the song

Summertime The Gershwin Version is my least favorite released Lana song and the only one that I literally can’t listen to at all, but I get what they were going for. since the minute we learned about the song title The Grants i’ve had a feeling the song is going to be very similar to Summertime The Gershwin Version but like… good and grander

last thing i’m saying on this but, it’s literally not lana’s job to do any promotion, it’s her job to fulfill her contracts. in order to do that before, yes, she did need to do the promotion she used to, but she reached the point where she doesn’t need to do that anymore, so if she doesn’t want to there’s not much of a reason to. again yes it’s underwhelming as a fan but it’s not some crazy thing or something hard to understand from her pov. not to be cheesy with the lyrics lol but again she’s said it herself Why work so hard when you could just be free? You’ve got your money now, you’ve got your legacy

i feel like i’m being a downer right now so not to be more of one but that Brazil show is just a festival, i don’t think it’s any real confirmation or sign of a headline tour 😭 although it might be a sign of a little festival run like she did in summer 2016

i’m also surprised that people don’t think lana already has built a very strong legacy and is already down in the books as one of the most influential artists of our time, hell i think she cemented that legacy after Honeymoon, she’s not some pop girl on her second album, longevity isn’t really something to worry about with her anymore

idk it just kind of surprises me to see how much people still expect from her when she’s done nothing to warrant it besides the first 3 years of her mainstream career when she literally had to 😭 i think the lyrics of God Knows I Tried, Swan Song, How to Disappear, and The Greatest put this conversation to rest though. we’ve heard her own take on this from the legend herself many times

why does she need to be “on the spot and there for” her fans? that’s not really her responsibility whatsoever lol, her job is to fulfill her label contract, i don’t think she owes us anything especially not accessibility

idk i mean atp i think everyone in her demographic knows very well who she is, there’s not many more people she can reach through promotion at this point in her career. the only reason for it from her end would just be to get more of those people to buy the album

idk about y’all but my goal in life is to simply not work… now i personally don’t have any talents that would allow me to ever reach that point but if you were like lana and did reach the point where you had more than enough money to live luxuriously for the rest of your life without doing anything, and the music you released spoke for itself, why would you still want to continue working so much and doing so much ridiculous promotion? it’s underwhelming as a fan but i would do the same thing 😭

what has this woman ever done for y’all to expect so much from her i would rather have a new album every year and a half with zero promotion than for her to take a break just to film some music videos i’ll watch twice and sing decade old songs on a tour with awkward background dancers and expensive tickets that i probably wouldn’t even be able to get anyway
