  1. yeah how would that even happen off LB when we know absolutely nothing about them? i’m assuming elle handled or tried to handle the situation and that whoever sent them that phishing link is semi-active but i haven’t noticed anyone get banned so yeah idk if it happened here
  2. kintsugi is never coming back i fear after one of y’all CROSSED that line
  3. i really don’t care about charts but unless another big artist announces a 3/24 release date, it’s really not implausible at all. the single is doing very very well
  4. flashbacks to listening to the Annie Mac interview live being so excited that the Chemtrails title track just came out, just for that excitement to immediately dissipate as my heart fell into my stomach when Annie starting asking her exclusively political questions for whatever reason that i just knew were going to be twisted in some way because QFTC and the mask and the cop thing were still fresh in everyone’s minds can’t believe that was already two years ago
  5. i actually don’t have much of an issue with QFTC because i understand where she was coming from i just think she said too much and didn’t articulate herself well, but it was the mesh mask and the “he’s not like other cops he’s a good cop” thing when she was dating sean that really got to me and still deeply irk me to this day… i feel like it needed to happen though because it allowed me to stop worshipping the very ground lana walks on and see her as more of an actual human being than some perfect godly creature and it also helped me to stop idolizing artists i admire in general and mature out of that mindset
  6. excluding BTD/P because i wasn’t a fan yet and UV because i was too young to be invested at the time, from tolerable to the absolute depths of hell, the pre-release eras are like Honeymoon > Ocean Blvd > BB > LFL >>> NFR ≥ COTCC
  7. i’ve said it before but so far this is the smoothest an album cycle has gone for lana in 8 years, and when u think about it she really hasn’t been that quiet, it’s only been a month and a half since everything was announced but the wait just feels painful because of the excitement, it’s really not that bad at all. i’m actually surprised we already got the track list
  8. it really doesn’t get worse than pre NFR and pre COTCC which were equally as bad
  9. i saw the meltdowns on twitter but i wish i wish i was active on here the morning we saw this cover and when the “black narcissist” lyric was being discussed 💀
  10. when we thought Doin Time was for that Sublime documentary… i still remember the shock (and fear) after learning it was on the album after having heard MAC/VB/Hope/CG/HTD
  11. based on the writing credits the 4 songs are the title track, Taco Truck, The Grants, and Let the Light In! he helped write Peppers too but what we know about that song doesn’t particularly match “big orchestras and simple melodies” lol so i don’t believe that one was part of the first 4
  12. Blue Banisters definitely seems like a layover between Chemtrails and Ocean Blvd where she was figuring out where she wanted to go next and how to go about it, similarly to how the latter third of Lust for Life felt like the step between her previous work and NFR
  13. i do have a feeling most of this album is going to be reminiscent of Blue Banisters but in a much more refined and artistically understood and intentional way, like it’s going to be what Blue Banisters was trying to be. even if Paris Texas is just Lana is just singing over the SYML track i wouldn’t consider it lazy at all, that alone is already 2x more interesting than the piano arrangements on BB, most of which sound like they were composed by someone who started learning the instrument a month before tracking although based on the descriptions from the insiders, it does seem like some new elements were added to the song anyway
  14. the mobile UI reminds me of the old LB mobile UI war flashbacks
  15. so what i’ve gathered about crediting samples/interpolations • all writers of the song that’s being sampled need to be credited • producers of the song that’s being sampled don’t need to be credited at all unless like a huge portion of the beat is sampled untouched too (which i don’t think is the case) • producers also don’t need to be credited even if a few stems are taken and used in the song that’s doing the sampling. an example of this happening is how many musicians have been using stems from SOPHIE’s pack recently (which are all taken directly from songs on her album Product), building entire songs around them, but SOPHIE still isn’t listed as a writer or producer or anything so looking at that, we can come to the conclusion again that every song besides HLWWLTS is fair game for being the sample in Peppers, it’s likely we won’t even be able to tell once the full producer credits do come out because producers don’t really matter in this scheme of things idk i just really think it’s Execute, we know from one of the insiders that Peppers sounds very similar to the track it’s sampling and it’s the only song on World Vision besides HLWWLTS (which is off the table) that really sounds like it could work well as a Lana song in that way imo
  16. yeah but none of the producers on World Vision are writers on that album, all of the actual writing was done only by Tommy and the artists she featured, so if Lana sampled a song that Tommy didn’t produce herself, the producer still wouldn’t need to be credited on Lana’s song because they didn’t write it. even if Lana like stole a couple stems from the original song, the producer still wouldn’t need to be credited i don’t believe i think Peppers is the song i’m most curious about on this album, we know so much about it but it’s still such a mystery. i just really don’t want the sample to be Hate Demon 😭😭 i’m looking for any reason for it not to be
  17. if i did my research on how samples need to be credited correctly, i actually don’t believe we’ll be able to tell from the production credits unless lana takes the actual beat of the tommy song untouched and uses it in a long portion of the song. ik either Kintsugi or BOZ said that Peppers “sounds similar” to the Tommy song but if lana straight up took the beat i feel like they would’ve mentioned that; kinda like how the SOPHIE samples from her Splice pack are all over pop music now, people make entire songs out of them, but she still isn’t officially credited on anything also this would’ve been my first guess too, it’s very lana but ABRA is also a writer on it 😭
  18. i’m just imagining this chorus being sampled and lana whisper-talking “I’m just executing my vision” over the sample like how she whispers at the end of TJF
  19. okay actually taking a closer look at the credits, it looks like Hate Demon and Eden are actually the only songs on World Vision that she produced all by herself, but yeah it seems like she self-wrote everything besides the collaborations. so i think every solo song on WV is fair game to possibly be the sample i’m hoping for Execute but Eden would be cool too i just know one of the insiders said that Peppers sounds like the Tommy song lana is sampling, and i would love to hear something in the vein of Execute
  20. question, where are you seeing the credits that she only self-wrote HD and Eden? because on Genius it looks like she self-wrote every song on that album besides the 2 collabs. but ik Genius isn’t very reliable, i’m just not seeing any official writing credits on Tidal, Spotify, or Bandcamp to verify either
  21. i’m pretty sure it’s because the songs haven’t actually been uploaded to DSPs yet (likely to prevent leaks) so they aren’t in the system 🪦 although it’s a good thing considering lana doesn’t announce anything, because if there is a second single, the duration for that track will show up a couple days before it’s released so we’ll know that it’s coming at least 😭
  22. i understand why Billboard changed the rules in the first place because the biggest artists in the world were abusing them and ruined it for everyone, of course, but it really is so messed up because it’s affected the whole industry and album release rollouts so much. it’s so ridiculous and annoying just as a fan, i can’t even imagine as an artist. i agree, they really should change the rules again but come up with something so there aren’t any loopholes the biggest artists were cheating and forced billboard to adjust the rules to stop it, which is already going to affect turnover. and then now those same big artists are the ones pressing millions of vinyl and overwhelming the pressing plants, which makes turnover time for everyone else even longer. i love taylor but i am especially looking at her
  23. i have no clue what was up with Chuck faking polaroids circa 2018, like why not just shoot on an actual instant film camera?? like this other official press photo from the MAC release, the polaroid frame is definitely edited better but it’s still very clearly a digital photograph, it just looks off 😭
