  1. i wonder when Lana and Jon met and if he’s always been on the song; she mentioned in that single release day post that her and Jon “kept missing each other”. curious if that means it took a long time for them to meet in the first place, or if that means it took a long time for them to finish/record the song. if it’s the former, considering the song has so much lore, that means there’s probably a solo version out there which is cool
  2. on the topic of reworkings, Afraid would’ve fit absolutely amazingly on Paradise if it were re-produced and re-recorded to be cohesive with the rest of that project
  3. DICWB is the first song that really got me into lana and made me do a deep dive into her discography for the first time, it still holds up to this day, it deserved to be reworked for BTD so much
  4. sorry i’m still a Fishtails and Grandfather Please whatever whatever denier i will believe it when i see it
  5. actually it makes a difference if you search “fishtails lana del rey” and “lana del rey fishtails” lmfao but when i put her name first i get watercolor eyes too
  6. i mean to be fair one of the lyrics on the album is “When I look back, tracing fingertips over plastic bags, I think, ‘I wish I could extrapolate some small intention, Or maybe get your attention for a minute or two’” and i can’t think of a single way it will melodically or rhythmically work but it has to somehow it also could just be a title that’s not a lyric in the song
  7. if that title is somewhat real i hope it’s Grandpa Please Stand On The Shoulders Of My Father While He Is Deep Sea Fishing instead of “father” being awkwardly there twice 💀
  8. i feel like whatever the long title is either has to make no sense out of context at all like Quiet Waiter Blue Forever or Patent Leather Do Over, or read like a sentence like Hope. but idk i just don’t think it would be a weird mix of those two things like Grandfather Please Stand On The Shoulders Of My Father While He Is Deep Sea Fishing i think boz was just playing along but maybe Of My Father While He Is Deep Sea Fishing could actually be part of it
  9. oh okay yeah i read the atrl page and even though he didn’t deny it it also seems like he was just playing around… idk it’s so ridiculous i don’t think he found it necessary to have to deny 😭
  10. wtf i just can’t think of any reason why she would say “grandfather please stand on the shoulders of my father”
  11. okay i missed a chapter and i’m reading alldat… i didn’t know fishtails and the grandfather one were actually sort of possible can someone share the source 😭
  12. WAIT lana swimming in a fishbowl would actually be a really fucking cool music video omg shades of cool part 2
  13. the camcorder footage of her personal life just had to have been for the videos, personal home music videos like that would fit the intimacy of the album cover so well
  14. i really think all of the camcorder footage she lost when she had to wipe her hard drives were supposed to be the videos for this era. someone mentioned that it’s possible lana is contractually obligated to make at least three music videos per album, which actually seems very likely looking at patterns of past album releases, and explains some of the weird and unnecessary videos we have like the 2nd Arcadia one and Let Me Love You Like a Woman. i do have a feeling though that she won’t want to put much effort into the videos if the camcorder footage she lost was truly for them though, so I’m expecting iPhone clips and that’s it this time around if this is the case though, i hope the iPhone music videos will be more like Ultraviolence and less like LMLYLAW
  15. lana needs to do something immediately, we’re all going mad. the behavior in here is similar to that i would expect of participators in the final stages of a torturous social experiment study
  16. i really wish artists spread out their album release timelines more, i would much rather something always be happening than all happening at once and then weeks of silence following it like ideal album rollout would’ve been Late December: website blackout… maybe even a black honeymoon profile picture if she was feeling quirky January 1st: cryptic posting of one of the album campaign photos on honeymoon, website updates with a countdown Week of January 9th: countdown ends with an album trailer that reveals the album title, release date, and short snippets of like 3 songs Week of January 16th: Album cover revealed, preorder a day after that Week of January 23rd: Title track single announced and released 2 days after announcement Week of January 30th: Title track music video released Week of February 6th: Something kind of minor and random but exciting enough for us to freak out over like the track lengths showing up on iTunes or something Week of February 13th: Track list revealed 4 titles per day on website (one vinyl side per day) Week of February 20th: Second single announced with a music video teaser Week of February 27th: Second single and music video released March 6th: Album reviews start being published online March 10th: Album release April: Third music video released perfect consistently stimulating rollout and it’s not even asking for too much promotion from lana
  17. the fact that asking for a track list announcement, single release, music video, and promotional post is even too much atp
  18. manifesting track list reveal and A&W single announcement next week, and then A&W single release the week after that, and then A&W music video the week of January 30th, and then another snippet post on honeymoon in early-mid February, and then third and final single the week of February 20th
