  1. it’s not going to kill the momentum for this album because the vast majority of fans enjoy the song, many people weren’t fans of LMLYLAW and Blue Banisters straight off the bat. I actually haven’t seen this much collective love in the fanbase for a lead single since Mariners
  2. Ocean Blvd is already in my top 10 lana songs 1. West Coast 2. Cruel World 3. The Greatest 4. Mariners Apartment Complex 5. Ride 6. White Dress 7. Chemtrails Over the Country Club 8. Gods and Monsters 9. Did you know there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd yeah the other girls should be scared
  3. i guess we don’t know for sure that it’s 6 or 7 but he was in the snippet she posted of the song so it would make a lot of sense
  4. one thing that stands out to me is that Father John Misty doesn’t have a writing credit. they must just be singing together!
  5. that’s weird, you should still be able to click the three dots and the Get Info window will show up like usual and you can see the composers. I was able to see it a couple hours ago
  6. they’re on apple music! if you go into apple music/itunes on a computer, pull up the preorder and click on “Get Info” all of the writing credits will come up
  7. he’s not in any of the credits also they were working together in September right? the album would’ve needed to be turned in by September/October in order for it to be ready by March so it seems like it might be for the NEXT thing. she’s crazy 😭 also nobody else agreed with me because Ian Fitchuk or however you spell it has long hair and glasses, but i’m pretty sure it was tucked behind his head and his glasses were off and it was him. He’s a friend of Drew Erickson, Gabe Simon, and Nikki Lane, and it looked a lot more like him than any of the other Ians. We know Lana loves to work within the same circle of people so i’m almost positive it was Ian Fitchuk
  8. idk, if i were lana it would just kind of suck. if i did deliver the big eras, displayed and proved my versatility, won the critics and general public over, secured my legacy, and felt like i fulfilled my purpose and now deserved to relax, hang out with my friends, and simply make the music that comes out naturally and is fun to create just because i love making art. and then people started bashing me for not doing what i was doing 10 years ago. and it would suck more since i have actively been telling them exactly where i have been in my life through my art for the last 5 years
  9. i never said the extravagance of the music, it’s the extravagance of the “era”, you know, the big hair, the caked makeup everyday, showing up to every red carpet event, the endless interviews. that’s the game she needed to play for a little bit, but she’s always wanted to just live life and make music. she never cared about the glamor and insane promotion of BTD/Paradise, and if she did, she experienced it! she did that now, she just wants to live and be with her friends and make music again. that’s what NFR/Chemtrails/Blue Banisters/Violet are all about, shes told us this
  10. it’s just like, we know lana, she’s made it clear the kind of artist she is. i think it’s a blessing that we’re still getting music at all. like i’ve said, the piano isn’t going anywhere, the ballads aren’t going anywhere but we’ll probably continue to have some selected cute moments without them!! idk who needs to hear this but she doesn’t care, she wants to live her life and make music and the only reason she did have the few extravagant eras that she did is because the label has pushed them and her career basically depended on playing the game for a little bit. she’s told us she doesn’t care since Ultraviolence, not just in interviews but in the music as well. every opinion is valid, but real talk and objectively, if it’s the piano itself/slow tempos/ballads/folkliness of the last 3 albums that just doesn’t suit your taste, i think you will continue to be disappointed with this album and future releases. Blue Banisters showed us that it’s not just Jack influencing her either
  11. that’s what i mean and is better wording than my “stayed consistent” lol, she found her comfort zone. i don’t mean she’s never gonna do anything new, but the last 3 albums have still had a pretty cohesive thread that ties everything together that’s not going to be changing, so I think anyone who thinks this specific sound is boring should expect to be let down by most future releases at this point
  12. okay, i don’t know what people expect from her. unless a miracle happens, her sound is going to remain relatively consistent from now until the end of her career, it’s just fact, she’s not in her 20s anymore and going through new creative phases every few months like she used to be. if you don’t like that then maybe lana isn’t the artist for you anymore. you can’t look to her for “eras” anymore, you can’t look to her for a new sound every album anymore, you can’t look to her for extravagant visuals, etc etc. she’s done all of that, she’s given us all of that. you’re stanning a nearly 40 year old woman not a 22 year old!
  13. vinyl length is dependent upon how long the side is, not how many songs. longest a vinyl can do per side and still sound good is 22 minutes. this is also why the standard for albums is about 40-45 minutes, because that’s all that would fit on one LP when the first albums were made. although the album has 16 tracks and is a 2LP, so there are 4 songs on each side to split it up equally (or one of those first tracks is really long)
  14. okay i caved and bought a record, i think i want to collect all of the variants for this album. I bought the Amazon exclusive because I think that’s gonna be the most limited and I’ll buy the other ones later
  15. I really hope that whatever the pastor is talking about is more philosophical in general than Christian it’s one thing to listen to things with religious undertones like Ethel Cain but it’s another to listen to an actual speech from an actual pastor that’s meant to be taken fully seriously and exactly as is
